Edit 9/5/2023: Alrighty, sorry for taking so long- If it helps, i think the server should be ready in around a week for now ^^ I was just busy for awhile, and then had a bit of trouble setting up some bots, though im on to working on channels, roles, and etc now. So it hopefully shouldnt be too much longer ^^

The Games of Taboo (or commonly referred to as TGoT for short) is a Roleplay began in early 2020
The story focuses on a game show, having the same name as the Roleplays, run by a mysterious group known as "The Directors"
The show focuses on contestants (also called Hosts) competing in a series of games. However, each of these games hold dangerous twists, whichll leave all but a few Hosts alive in the end
Verias, The Directors sort of leader, bring each of the Hosts into the show after their deaths. Seeing the game show as a "Second chance of life" in his words, amused by the question of just how far someone will go to survive, after nearly losing their life
In this Roleplay, the Hosts will face dangerous events and challenges, discover worlds and species alien to their own, work along side, or kill off their fellow contestants. And, of course, answer Verias question, by discovering how much theyd truly do, to get out of these games of taboo alive

Hello!
In honesty, um- its late, and im a tiny bit sleep deprived, so i have no clue if thisll be a bad decision- Though um
This is something ive been really excited to try and make a public Rp for again- So i thought id try and make an interest check thing!
The Games of Taboo is a Rp me, and some friends started years back. We currently have two Rps based in TGoTs universe, these being the original, which is a private Rp for friends. A second one meant for script writing, which is being used for an animated Youtube series weve been working on since around 2022
Ive been considering making a public Roleplay for TGoT for awhile now, and with me finally graduating from school, and having more time to just- do anything really. I thought itd be a good time to finally look into this ^^Β well, good time as in sometime this year. still dont know if writing this rn is the best idea, or if anyone will see or care about an interest check, aha oops um
Rp wise, the Rp takes place on a space ship called GamaTrion
During the Rp, the Hosts will visit three planets. Each planet will have 10 games, three being events (more dangerous games, that take a few days (in the Rps time) ) and 7 challenges (less dangerous games, that are usually finished in a day (in the Rps time) )
The Directors plan for only one alliance to survive by the last game, however, anything can happen during the Rp!
The games can range to almost anything, with some examplesΒ ranging:
A Maze event, where Hosts would travel through multiple rooms with small challenges, ranging from puzzles, fights, things relating to their planets, and etc, with them trying to find the room to the exit
A trivia game where Hosts are questioned things by viewers, with some being personal, or relating to their pasts. If they refuse to answer, or lie, theyre faced with a small challenge
An arena where the alliances had to choose one Host to fight a giant, snake-like creature
And etc, these can range to anything really ^^
While not in the games, the Hosts will be at the hotel, which is a section in GamaTrion. Here, they all have dorms, places to eat, and even places to visit, like a pool, arcade, and more ^^ Theres small bits of lore hidden in the hotel as well, so for anyone interested in that, there'll be time to look around for things ^^
Warnings
- The Games of Taboo tends to have darker themes, things like blood, gore, and etc may come up
- Due to the RpΒ (planning to by the Directors at least, this can change by the Ocs ^^)Β ending with one alliance (groups of 2 - 10 the Hosts are told to form) left alive, there may be a lot of deaths in the Rp. So just know a lot of Ocs may die during the RpΒ

Hello!
Sorry its taking so long to release the server-
Long story short, i kind of ended up deciding to re due the entire thing- (i was originally using a server template) so its just taking time to edit channels, organize stuff, re write info, and Rping channels, etc-
However, to keep everyone updated, i created a world for the server!
The Rp will still be on Discord, however, while the server is being made. Ill post updates on this world, so everyone can keep track of progress, and get a clearer idea of when the server will be ready ^^
