I love making character playlists (most of my playlists are characters or fandom stuff) and I really need to find more music as well, im so bad at it TvT! But I started listening to xinyi's playlist and its a fun vibe, I have a space robot character named Helix that im still working on (not on my toyhouse yet cause I wanna make them art first but im struggling rn lol) but I am now eyeing songs from Xinyi's playlist for their playlist because there is so little songs with space/moons/planets/etc that arent lovey dovey apparently and I need them >>
Usually when I make playlists I kinda am putting songs in more so because they match a characters mindset or their lore rather than the sort of "mood" they give off (but it is a bonus if it fits!) so sometimes the genres and vibes of the playlists arent as cohesive, but Helix and Logan's I think are somewhat consistent in what theyre going for?
Anddddddddddd to ramble character's context cause why not:
Logan's is a bit easier, pretty much a knight reincarnated as a giant slime monster, he's really clumsy and a big sweetie, he's a flirt even if he's really awkward due to what he is. In a story with my friend he dates her character who is a dainty princess; they call each other wolf and sheep. In the same story it turns out Logan was brought back by the god of blood, so the intent of him being a monster was a hope for Logan to be vicious and shed blood in order to make the god stronger, but Logan's just very kind instead, although on rare occurrences/certain conditions he can be more wild/beast-like.
Helix is complicated cause he's sort of two in one but I hope they'll make sense. I made them to go with the Overwatch fandom gonna assume youre not familiar, but essentially he's an omnic (pretty much a robot), that was designed by a rich Nasa-like company capable for doing deep space exploration from earth, and since its a bit futuristic, was given a supercomputer-intelligence AI personality with goals to carry out its work tasks. Well at some point in the overwatch universe, stuff happens were omnics have a mass-sentience event, and it gave tons of non sentient things sentience, and gave Helix sentience too, a "soul", but the AI was never removed/uninstalled prior so now Helix's body has both the soul and the AI making decisions for it (the AI is more dominant as it is was directly meant for Helix's system), but it isn't exactly that they both are fighting to do different actions, its more like different halves of a brain. One can't remove the other, (how could the AI go about getting rid of a soul without damaging themselves, how could the soul remove the AI with it's programming influencing it's thoughts). Anywayyyyy the soul's influence over Helix causes trouble for them at work, since the AI was made to carry out all these different tasks and to serve humans it really doesnt care, but the soul doesn't like being treated like a piece of equipment/a tool and eventually snaps, killing the people at the company and leaving, but both the soul and AI being unused to having real freedom go out into the world and realize how challenging things are (even more so because omnics are discriminated against by humans due to a war before the sentience event and arent accepted as really alive by some people still) so the soul grows an even bigger disliking towards humans while the AI is just seeing all of the super inefficient things people are doing with the world, comparing earth to the natural beauty of space, and it makes the AI learn it doesn't like humans either because they are destroying the natural beauty that they see and look at so fondly in space. Loving space and disliking humans is something both sides have a mutual agreement on and so they are especially passionate about those two things. Because of that, they join into a villainous-aligned organization with other omnics really they think they are using the people in it to push their goals and harm more humans butttt they're also kinda being used too; its a whole other thing but theres not much reason to get into that for the playlist's sake.
i'm looking for new music to listen to while drawing, and i love seeing what songs people associate their characters with!

Honest to god despite Aevi always being a WIP I think his playlist is 100% my favorite that just expresses what I want with him.
Ion really feel like infodumping, so I'll just share the playlists!!! Generally I decide what to add based on either the instrumental/melody, lyrics, or vibes, when it meets 2 of these criterias is when I add it!
Two of them are more complete on YouTube rather than spotify due to some songs being unavailable over there but I'll share both! You'll notice that the farther I go down the list, the less they have songs lol

DarkElite020 YEAH SPACE ROBOT!! I really liked listening to Explorers! Also I totally get what u mean about being a bonus if it fits their mindset and the mood, any time I hear a song that fits both I need to drop everything I'm doing to add it to their playlist immediately
Logan's playlist fits him so well, I haven't been able to play Overwatch since 2019 unfortunately so I'm not caught up with the lore but it's still fun to see it around! Thank you for sharing your playlists :D
TyrianCallows these were so fun to look through, thank you for sharing them! I love COIN and Walk The Moon so I was so happy to see them on Aevi's playlist. Also the Shrek 2 soundtrack is literally so good, Accidentally in Love is a SUPERB choice
