Since the Great Reptilian Extinction, the few survivors evolved alongside some mammals in order to ensure survival, and derived into two great species of superior intellect ―on the one hand, ligatiers, on the other hand, humans. Ages of discrimination and separatism divided these two species that share planet Earth. Therefore, humans used to look at ligatiers’ success with suspicion and envy, whereas ligatiers looked disparagingly at this species which they considered inferior.
Even though ligatiers are a species which isolated from human society, they still share part of the Earth’s culture with these furless, scaleless beings. However, ligatiers adapted different types of behavior, customs and traditions over the millennia that became typical of their own ethnic group. These are the different biomes which are home to ligatiers usually depending on their ethnic group: the Standard Ligatiers, who live in cities and/or towns with mild climates, such as valleys and civilized forests. The Aquatic Ligatiers , who live in swampy areas, on the shores of lagoons, rivers and even oceans. The Nomad Ligatiers , who live in mountains and even in large floating islands. The Polar Ligatiers, who live in areas of extreme cold or high atmospheric pressure, such as the polar circles and snowy areas.

You can choose to either draw or write about your new Ligatier! Not only can you design a Ligatier but you can also earn yourself some Misanka, the species currency. We're hoping to see what you come up with!
With a new launch, comes new designs! To celebrate the 4th launch of this species, our designers have a special design that will up for grabs through a raffle hosted on both the discord and deviantart! This raffle shall be held on April 14th and be concluded alongside the main New Beginnings event. The entry fee is only a dollar because we hope to have a lorekeep down the road! So, we're testing the waters to see if we'll be able to reach there. We wish everyone luck!!
