🦌My Dearlings
Dearlings are deer-like creatures that take on features that help them survive in their individual environments. They have very unstable DNA that mutates very quickly to suit their surroundings but after the initial mutation, further mutation is possible; even to the point where a water based Dearling can become a bird type. Offspring however will inherit the looks of their parents.
Dearlings that live in peaceful environments have vibrant patterns and colors as they have no predators to harm them. They have tend to have brightly colored noses, paws etc. Those that live in more dangerous areas will take on colors and patterns that help them survive. These Dearlings are not as docile as their peaceful cousins, they also tend not to have brightly colored noses, paws etc. as that would make them stand out. Both types have colored organs, muscles, blood etc. that are the same color as their antlers.
They are omnivores and eat anything from other animals to roots. Depending on their habitats they tend to have a particular diets however they can't digest most human food and some can be toxic such as chocolate.
All Dearlings have antlers no matter their gender, these antlers are translucent and come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. They always have a rounded head, antlers and at least one set of cloven feet. Dearlings can take on traits from fish, insects, plants etc. and are extremely versatile; some even gain anthro traits from living in close proximity to humans!
All Dearlings are intelligent and have their own culture. (more to be added)
