Petri is a huge, mutated euglenid-type organism originating from a microbiology experiment gone haywire. They possess full sapience and sentience, and are very curious and intelligent. Their genetics are unstable and prone to mutation, making their anatomy highly variable. They can be any height or bodytype, and can even adjust features such as growing additional limbs, structures to enable speaking and eating, etc. They are photoautotrophic and need copious amounts of sunlight to survive. However, they are extremely adaptable, and may resort to opportunistic omnivorism.

Their body is semi transluscent and squishy, kind of as if a water balloon were filled with gel. Their membrane ("skin") is smooth and slightly springy to the touch. Their organelles float mostly freely and their placement isn't very specific, though the reddish-organge blobs where their "brain" and "heart" would be should stay mostly consistent. They also seem to have vein-like structures down their limbs and tail. While they can develop strcutures for speaking, typically they prefer to communicate through chemotelepathy. All they need to do is touch hands with whoever they're speaking with, and an image or idea will pop in the recipient's head just like that!
