Kuhli

Kuhli was born and raised on the west coast of Pyrrhia, far away from the Kingdom of the Sea. There, on a cold, rocky beach, he lived with his hivewing father. According to his father, Kuhli’s mother had died to complications when his egg had been lain. As this dragonet grew up with just a father, who was unable to teach him fluent aquatic, he felt very isolated and lonely. Once Kuhli was about 6 years old, his father allowed him to venture further inland, where he discovered permafrost and freezing, relentless winds.

It wasn’t long before Kuhli had been pinpointed by an icewing, who went forth to interrogate him about infiltrating icewing territory. Even with wars ceasing and tribes intermingling, the icewings have always been protective of their borders and land. Not like Kuhli knew that.

Name Origin

After Tilefish died, Pardosa wanted to give Kuhli a different name from what she wanted because "it would've reminded me of her too much." So instead, he gave his son the name Stingray. He even went as far as to tell Stingray that it was the name his mother wanted to give him when he hatched. Once Stingray eventually ran away and disowned his father, he had went to an elder in another tribe that had known his mother. It wasnt until Stingray met Begonia that he figured out the truth about his name: that Pardosa lied to him about his mother's choice in name all his life, and theorized there to be even more lies being kept from him. After some enraged reflection, he decided to change his name to Kuhli, fully severing himself from his familial ties.
