Physical appearance: Hayasei is a tall woman with a semi-muscular build and almond-shaped eyes. Her skin is a medium tan and her eyes are a yellow-orange color, people who have seen her tend to think her eyes look like a hawk’s. Her hair is naturally the same color as Tsubasa’s, however she has dyed it a dark sky blue. It is partially pulled back by a winged barrett.
Outfit-wise, Hayasei wears an indigo and blue turtleneck jacket with gold trim and rectangular snaps, she wears a black long sleeve shirt underneath. She wears light brown pants and a darker brown belt with a silver circular buckle. Finally, she has tarnished gold armguards with gold trimming that have brown fingerless gloves underneath with matching boots.

Hayasei is the eldest child of the 5th generation of the Otori family and grew up in a working class household with many relatives under one roof. The family was greatly in dept and they were unable to keep up with the piling rent, bills and basic needs. Of course this was made much more difficult when Tsubasa was born. Hayasei was given her first job at age 6, delivering milk to and from a town several miles away from where she lived. On one delivery run, she found a discarded bey part and immediately asked her parents about what it was. They said it was a Beyblade and that it was used for settling arguments and other disputes. Hayasei didn’t really understand at the time and started asking people on her delivery route what the piece was. A few days after her discovery, she saw a group of older kids battling and wanted to join them. They allowed her to watch and they taught her about the art of building beys.
As she grew older, her blading skills greatly increased and she dropped her first job at about 9 years old. She became somewhat of a street performer, showing off her blading skills on the sidewalk. Her parents didn’t approve of her performing on the streets as they feared she would get too confident and start challenging opponents too strong for her and get hurt. She didn’t listen to them and continued to train with the kids that had originally taught her. She eventually did teach Tsubasa how to battle and they would often battle each other for practice. When she was about 10 years old, her older cousin Tsurugi asked her to help him out with his business, mainly the smaller odd jobs such as labeling products and talking stock. He agreed to pay her some of the money for her side of the family since he was aware of their financial situation.
