god my Miitopia brainrot is coming back full force!! bastard man. he got possessed. semi-wip?? 

I came up with him when zoning out in class last year pre-quarantine like "omg... what if. an ex-dark lord that didn't really have regrets or feel bad about getting possessed & the shit that the curse did & they were actually fucked up and evil"

PERSONALITY: salty jealous asshole. Fucked up and evil but also not really

Normal dude w/o magic or cool shit like that raised in a community full of. the opposite. he angy. Gets stuck at a dead-end factory job & meets a little sun blob that offers him the power he lacks. Sun tricks & possesses him, dark lord messes around & eventually gets beat, which frees him. Dmitri eventually decides that he liked "being" the dark lord

(The big block of writing below is mostly old stuff but still accurate to the story so)

Dmitri kinda... got the short end of the stick in life. He was stuck working a deadend factory job, where he was at a "disadvantage" for lacking magic despite putting in way more effort than his powered coworkers.
At one point, he encountered this weird blob of light, which told him that it would give him the power that he lacked. Tempted, he accepted.

Time went by, and Dmitri had gotten nothing but words. He confronts the light, who dodges the question for a good while, before eventually telling him that he's had magic the whole time, & just never realized it. Try it.

So he did. It appeared that he'd finally gotten what he wanted, but it was just a lie - a trick of the light!

It didn't take long for his peers(coworkers) to learn of this change, and they were real skeptical. It was possible for a human to gain magic if they weren't born with it, but it wasn't usually something that happened overnight.
Dmitri tried to prove his power to them, but failed - at first.

At that moment, the light appeared, briefly speaking to him before taking complete control - transforming the man into a being of incredible power, and proved itself. (Pretty much possession! From here Dmitri really had no control over the situation, all he could do was be there & watch the lil blob go nuts)

The factory was completely destroyed.  Even afterward, its unknown if anybody survived - nobody was willing nor able to find out. What remained is considered a deadzone.

And so the Dark Lord came about, wreaked havoc, and seemed to have an iron grip on the land.
Rumor has it that a band of four rose up to stop him... but they met an abrupt end. Why? Who knows.

Not long after, another group of adventurers came together - but this time, they succeeded, pursuing the Lord across the lower lands, eventually defeating him.

Dmitri was now free, but for what? After a brief run-in with the heroes, he dropped off the radar for some time, doing who knows what.

Of course, he re-appeared in the Sky Scraper due to the Darker Lord, and reluctantly tagged along with the heroes, just to try and scope them out. How he felt about his whole ordeal wasn't exactly clear - he wasn't entirely apologetic, but not nonchalant, either.

It was a bit far, and absolutely messed up! But at the same time... he kind of enjoyed the position. Having that kind of power, being able to do whatever with it, and being revered was something Dmitri could get down with.

He'd get back to that level someday.
