Muun's name is based on the Thai word for Headwaters, as in the source a river comes from: ต้นน้ำ

In this case the river is the river of power which the other 'powered cats' in his multiverse are sustained by. It's closer to the Outsider in Dishonoured than say the Traveller in Destiny for magnitude of power were talking about here overall.
