Hickory is a photographer from the harbour town of Bluehill. His main subjects are the surrounding mountains, the shore, and the ocean itself. He especially loves to take pictures of animals whenever he can, especially wild rabbits. He is very quiet and does not talk to others much. His stuffed rabbit, named Nox, is his best and most common companion, and they bring it wherever they go. If someone has a particular disdain for stuffed animals, Hickory will not be pleased.

Nox

Hickory was first given Nox as a present from their paternal grandmother when they were just five years old. He cherished the rabbit from the very beginning, and even more so after his grandmother's death just one year later. Up until that point the stuffed animal had been unnamed, with Hickory simply reffering to it as 'Rabbit'. After, however, the toy gained the name of Nox, as it had been the name of his late grandmother. Hickory refers to Nox with she/it pronouns.

Photography

Hickory's first experience with photography was when his father allowed him to try taking pictures with his own camera. Hickory relished the experience and as soon as they were about to turn 13, they begged their parents to let them own one for themself. He built up his skills over the next few years, but never realised how talented he was until he won a town-wide competition by a landslide. He now sells his photographs as prints, shirts, and other things in his own store, and though he is certainly not rich, he is comfortable.
