Selby

alignment: neutral evil leaning toward chaotic evil

known as the witch of ruin, selby is the second-in-command to the eldritch being known only as the gnawing rot (however, cults that venerated her in the past call her the unconquered queen, which is what selby refers to her as). selby is head-over-heels in love with her and mirthfully carries out her orders without question or complaint. she was bestowed some of her mistress's essence and is a walking conduit of her power. as a result, selby's body is only human on the surface; beneath, her insides are are the same stringy black mass as her hair. per her queen's orders, she is amassing an army to lead attacks on ithressa, the continent they are upon. she does this by stealing infants from their cribs and "baptizing" them in the essence of her queen to turn them into blights--which are staggering, zombie-like beings the infants will rapidly grow into. selby's assistant, hector, is the first blight to ever exist, and was the result of her offering up her infant brother when she was five. he's also one of the only blights to maintain a sort-of conciouness, able to commnicate, albeit disjointedly, with his sister. selby usually mistreats him.
