Atkilos

(Was originally a Kelari from RIFT [Trion], but as I don't plan to use him in that setting any more I'll probably rewrite him into a more generic fantasy setting.)

He runs an old tavern, called the Warrior's Retreat, along the road of a relatively secluded area, where the sky is often dim with the speculation of light rain. It's near enough to two small warring zones that he gets a decent amount of work treating the wounded who find his refuge closer than the ones back home. He also sees travelers, beast hunters, and those that live near enough to go to him for care or medicine. 

The tavern itself has been refitted to feel like something more of a simple barracks. There are no boundaries separating those from either side of the northern conflict, as troublemakers aren't welcome back. The men tend to mind themselves well enough with that threat; though, the weariness of their condition may help. 

While most of his tenants stay only as long as needed, one, a blacksmith, has made a more permant home there. The money he makes on repairs, weapons, and tools more than pays his rent, and he proves to be an added defense against the beasts of the land when they grow daring.
