The Kasparov twins are what remains of an attempt by Xalen Foundation R&D to awaken latent post-human DNA from within a subject, specifically in the case of Ryan and Serena, stemming from their Canid ancestry. Thus both of them can change shape into a powerful Canid, gaining significantly increased strength and speed at will.

Though both twins are more than a little sex-crazed, Serena is most definitely the more aggressive of the pair, her sweet personality working to lure in unsuspecting partners. She's known for being more than a little selfish and overpowering when it comes to getting what she wants, and her more charming brother is more than happy to enjoy the spoils.
