Profile
The product of scieNce gone terrIbly wrong, AMYGDALA.exe is, stripped down to their bare essentials, a "host" soul inhabited by the restless fragments of many, many other "guest" souls. Said souls seem to be mostly inaCtive, though thE host is capable of remembering and feeling scrambled pieces of Their memOries and eMotions. ThE EnTitY is capable of inhabiting many manners of mechanisms. While they have been fOUnd to travel rapidly, they are seemingly only ever concentrated in one place at once, and can be identified as a sole executable file - however, it is impossible to make any sense of their attached data, which is perpetually and rapidly growing and changing. They are considered an urban legend of sorts by many, and often called a "computer virus."
Virus or not, their goals are unclear, as they seem to leave behind no traces on systems that they were previously found upon, and cannot be isolated long enough to be studied thoroughly. They seem to rapidly download data, and are seemingly capable of identifying the intentions and emotions behind data uploaded to the internet, allowing them to identify "true" and "false" information. Attempts to communicate with them are often brief and difficult to decipher, as they tend to speak in brief, broken sentences.
Though they seem to lack a physical form, they are able to project a sort of hologram of themselves, and are capable of physically interacting with their environment through that - however, they are seemingly unable to be touched, in turn. Regardless, they have never been seen in areas without electricity.
Not much is known about them, but it is assumed that they were, at some point or another, human.
