Phoenix

Phoenix is a grumpy character, mostly keeping to himself as he feels no one else is quite on his level of intelligence and understanding of the harsh & cruel world. 

He and his brother Archimedes frequently argue over the inner-workings of life; and while Archimedes studies the nature of magic and it's presence in the universe, Phoenix is more stubborn and believes that the world is not whimsical with it's arcane features- That there is something much more sinister lurking under the veil. 

(Still, he can't help but secretly appreciate the small wonders in life, such as his newly adopted niece, Zurli.)

Phoenix is a master of melee fighting, and especially with more finer weapons, such as the golden Rapier that follows wherever he goes, and refuses anyone else but him to wield it.
