previously a space explorer that has been touched by the void; an incomprehensible blend of matter that occasionally takes a humanoid form.
syzygy tracked down starburst on a research mission and was transformed on contact. vo have complicated feeling on vola crew, who escaped following the event.
vo feels detached from and above humanity despite vola origins. vo struggles to reconcile vola old life and vola new one, especially since most of vola past memories are distant.
vo can freely shapeshift and has no true shape, though vo often sticks to a more humanoid form. vo also leans towards a comet-esque form when traveling.
vo speaks telepathically, and vola voice sounds like a chorus. vo can see anything in space, and metal debris is drawn to & gathers in rings around vol.
vo avoids other large cosmic entities, particularly ones like starburst.

design

vo can shapeshift with little restriction in terms of shape. vo are always a smaller size than other entities, though vo can still appear massive relative to standard creatures.
vola helmet can change to emote, but vo never have defined eyes / a mouth / etc.
