VACATION is a free-to-use, multi-tabbed character profile code that i put together in the 24 hours prior to me taking flight towards Florida, USA, where my grandma lives.
to be honest this profile kind of came to me in a dream... i couldn't find any profiles that suited my specific needs for a specific character and my brain brewed together this little multi-column code with images and large text and scrollbars. it kind of reminds me of old tumblr "container" themes that roleplayers would use and set the font size to 8px and you couldn't read it.
i at least hope this profile is infinitely more accessible than those themes... yikes.
feel free to change the progress bar names to whatever you like, and make sure to change the widths of the bars according to the character's actual personality.
this would be a good place to put a longer, more accurate description of your character's personality, from social situations to individual quirks your characters might have. too little bravery makes you a coward. too much bravery makes you foolhardy. no person on the planet can be perfectly balanced...
but this is your character profile and i'm not the Character Writing Police. lol
This section of the code
i always imagined this section to be a longer biography of your character. in fact i forgot that i set the tab name to "about" because in my head it was always "biography". but if i changed the name to "biography", it would mess up the tab appearances. trust me, i tried.
maybe you're curious about my terms of service? i think i'm very lax with my codes... you can edit these as much as you'd like. maybe use my codes to learn more about HTML yourself. hell, i wouldn't throw a fit if you even deleted the credits button at the bottom-left of the code. just keep in mind of the consequences - if someone sees this code and doesn't know where to find it for themselves, they're probably gonna be a little upset. that's on you, not me.
The dream
i dreamt i made this code for purely myself, never releasing it to the world. the banner on the "left" was a newspaper clipping, vaguely blurred so the text wouldn't obscure the large font quote. and the newspaper clipping bled into the right side of the code... the vertical "character banner" on the right was a transparent PNG of the character, a black-and-white rabbit. the left text was a lyric from a Metric song (of course it was.)
i used it for multiple characters and the code had multiple versions (but it's 2AM and i have a flight to catch, so no bets on that.) in another version of this code, the "character banner" on the right was replaced with a circular character icon, and the fields on the "profile" tab were stuffed just underneath the icon. i used the "profile" tab for something else in that version of the code but i don't remember what it was.
