Takira Sudo (すど タキラ Sudō Takira), also known as the Interface Hero: Typest (インターフェースヒーロー:タイピスト Intāfēsu Hīrō Taipisuto), is a Pro Hero working in Japan.

Appearance

Taki is a young woman with a slim waist and slightly-muscular legs. She has a similar body type to tennis players with some chubbiness in her thighs and abs area. She has dark red hair that just reaches her shoulder blades, and split bangs that are dyed an electric blue color. She has electric blue eyes and wears simple glasses for being nearsighted.

Her hero costume consists of a sleeveless, pale blue hoodie with adjustable strings, black slim spandex/shorts fitted to black and white translucent leggings, and dark two-belted boots. She wears brown wrist braces that match her brown, fingerless gloves. For support items, she wears a tan utility belt with varying pockets to hold throw-away phones, touch sensitive phones, a small tablet, and carries a matching, slim backpack. She also wears an orange domino mask with fitted lenses and puts her hair up in a high ponytail, which accents the layers in her hair.

Personality

Taki is more or less introverted and very passionate about helping others. She bends over backwards for others, especially those in need, even if she doesn't get recognition for her good deeds. She also tends to neglect her needs first, making her a pushover at times as she has a hard time saying "no." She has an excellent eye for detail, which, despite her reserve, helps her develop strong relationships with others. Taki is a very reliable person, and is very meticulous in her work and ensuring things are done to the highest standard - it is difficult for her to change focus and for others to get her attention. Despite asking questions first before diving into situations, she overcommits and tries to handle everything by herself. She often takes things personally despite her attempts to hide her emotions, too, for the better of others. She's not a huge fan of change, but is working on welcoming more of it into her life.

She strives to be a Pro Hero in order to be a good role model and aid others along the way. She aims to work more in Rescue work than anything, but is fairly adept in ranged fighting. She is very determined to make her stance as a Pro Hero, wanting to be a hero that kids can look up to.

Quirk and Abilities

Overall Abilities: Takira's greatest ability prior to becoming a Pro Hero was her unbridled passion to aid others no matter the case. She is able to meld her techniques and strategies to better the situation and diffuse complications. Taki's usual battle tactic is by analyzing the circumstances in conjunction with preparing tools and weapons to solve the problem quickly. Even without the aid of her quirk, Taki relies on communication and resolving issues before physically fighting. When it comes to it, she is very adept in fighting with blunt and flexible weapons (ex. dual hammers, kusari-gama, flails) as she uses her body's momentum more to deal harsher hits. She knows a little bit of jujustu, but is not an expert.

Interface Expertise: Takira has amazing knowledge of computers and various interfaces so much that, for example, she can understand how to use a new phone forwards and backwards in minutes. She is highly adept in using keyboards and other electronic devices without looking, allowing her to freely multitask. She can type 400 words per minute (wpm) while looking and 300 wpm without looking.

Keen Insight: Takira has keen analyzing and observation skills both in and out of hero work. She can easily discern other people's demeanors as well as their overall abilities even after seeing them perform once. She can devise exactly what she needs and what words to use when using her Quirk. She commonly uses the objects from her Quirk to provide support for her allies and fight opponents, making her a reliable comrade. What she lacks in raw strength, she makes up for with her perceptiveness.

Quirk

Type Key (タイプキー Taipukī): This Quirk allows the user to create virtually anything non-sentient from their body when they put their fingers to a keyboard connected to an electronic storage system (ex. computers). Such creations manifest from the skin, originating from the ions in the body and fueled by electrolytes. More surface area is required for bigger or numerous objects. Each creation’s durability equates to the strength and length of its description and whether it remains attached to the user or not. Organic additions (i.e. an apple) are feasible to create but will harm the user if removed.

The Quirk requires an input device (i.e. an alphabetic keyboard) with sufficient supply of ions (electrolytes) in order to work. The user’s fingertips must be uncovered in order to use the Quirk effectively. If the user’s electrolyte count is low, the energy towards making the creation is low. Any distraction or mistake when typing (ex. a misspelling) will create a faulty object. A created object only lasts as long as the electronic system keeps it; if the data or the electronic system is deleted or damaged, the object is also deleted from existence. Quirk overuse puts a lot of strain on the nerves and tendons as well.

To combat her Quirk’s drawbacks, Taki always keeps an electrolyte drink on her to help fuel her body. Taki participates in yoga and other exercise classes to keep herself limber as well. In order to improve her skills, she practices reiterating books word for word to improve her memory and upping her WPM to maximize her efficiency. She also takes jiu-jitsu classes to better her offensive skills.

Super Moves

Dual Key (デュアルキー De~yuarukī): Takira pulls out two phones and types simultaneously, creating two creations at once. She can create two different creations or two matching creations.

Superpose - Shield (重ねる-シールド  Kasaneru - Shīrudo) Takira manifests a strong, metal shield from her forearms or other parts of her body to provide better defense for herself and others. These shields are typically sized to protect 2/3rds of her body. She must use her laptop in order for this to work due to the amount of memory it takes.

Superpose - Flight (重ねる -フライト Kasaneru - Furaito) Takira manifests a pair of eagle-like wings from her shoulder blades, allowing her flight and the agility of a bird. She must use her laptop in order for this to work due to the amount of memory it takes.

Trivia:

  • Her hero name is based on taipisuto, which translates to “typist.” The English version name merges the female connotation "-ess" into it.
  • She's a big nerd and likes anime and manga.
  • She has to wear special gloves to use keyboards outside of hero work.
  • Her quirk is an amalgam of both of her parents' quirks: Voltage (father) and Output (mother). Voltage allowed her father to be very successful in hero support, as he could adjust the voltage with his fingertips easily. Output provided her mother a great asset in various industries, as she could convert computer-generated information into human-readable information by just reading it (ex. she could read complex binary code and recreate it into human language).
  • Her quirk activates due to an electrical connection between her fingers and the electronic circuit of a keyboard. Like a keyboard, a circuit is completed when pressing a key, but with her quirk  originating from her fingertips, she completes the circuit between her and the computer thus creating whatever she types up.
  • She is able to create organic additions but not detachments.
  • She is susceptible to EMPs and other electronic-neutralizing weapons, as they would affect her nervous system.
  • When she first developed her quirk, she could only create things that were attached to her body. It took her years to detach objects.

Quotes

  • (To her parents) "I know you want me to do this, and I know I can do this, but I believe my purpose is to help people - to be a hero!"
