Timbertail is the current keeper of ThunderClan, and the youngest in Clan history at only thirteen moons old. He is the son of deputy Sparrowsong and senior warrior Waspfang, and littermate to Perchpaw.

When the previous keeper Darkleaf succumbed to blackcough without an apprentice a season prior, warrior apprentice Timberpaw and his littermate Perchpaw were both brought before the Mooncave for StarClan to elect a new keeper. Timberpaw was chosen, receiving his full name and taking on the responsibilities of a keeper with only a rushed, rudimentary knowledge of herbs. As such, he inherits the position with a great anxiety to do his Clan well.

Since this event, he has been receiving supplementary training from WindClan's keeper Dapplemane, as per an agreement between the two Clan leaders. However, RiverClan keeper Cedarglint has also taken an interest in the young cat's future, and offers him sanctuary from the mysterious wraith that has tormented him ever since he shared a grave secret with Fernstar...

Though he is reluctant to take an apprentice before he is ready, he has been watching his infant sibling Featherkit with interest.

Timbertail is a slight brown tabby tom with yellow eyes and a wiry brush of a tail.

Timbertail has short, wiry fur that spikes up along his body, especially around his thick-furred chest and tail. He has a light chest, paws, and belly, and thin tabby stripes along his body. He has a darker tail.
