He has an amused and uninterested demeanor. Generally he comes off as nonchalant and uncaring, but really he’s just usually tired. Inwardly, he is precise and thoughtful, observant and sharp. Although, he often misses things because of his chronic sleepiness. He’s a bit more keenly aware of his surroundings as opposed to other people; he could tell you the colors of the tables in the restaurant but he’d probably forget what your order was.
When he comes up with a new idea he tends to hyperfixate on it until he’s totally lost interest (same), and during those periods he won’t talk about anything else! He values creativity and seeks out fellow creators in social settings. That’s not to say he finds himself in many social settings though; he prefers to spend time alone with his thoughts.
He’s not the best at dealing with strong emotions, he often will just bottle them up. It’s really not a good way to deal with them (man i would know), but he doesn’t know any other way since he spends so much time alone, thinking about other things.

If you search up “most popular musical artists in the coast islands,” Alto’s name is sure to come up. He may be lower on the list than others, but he is at least of some repute. He is best known for his weird style and his even weirder lyrics, based on his songs alone he seems like a very… weird guy. That’s partially true, but really he just has a different way of expressing things. He has a flair for the unconventional, and will use the most roundabout wordings to get his points across sometimes! Of course, he’s not quite like that in person. He actually isn’t that eloquent in day-to-day conversation, but to be fair he doesn’t even talk that much. He’s a mysterious guy in both his writing and his normal life, but in vastly different ways!
Alto grew up in a very musical family, if his name wasn’t enough of an indicator. From a young age he was put into piano lessons, which he actually really struggled with for a while. He began to really pick it up around high school (how did he have the motivation to stick with it for that long?! his parents probably made him do it…), but until then he was always a bit more partial to singing. I mean, he still is, he just liked it waaaaaay more back then. Once he got pretty good at piano (he’s by no means a master, just really really decent) he began to branch out to other instruments as well. He likes guitar and drums, but he wants to try other stringed instruments and maybe some woodwinds as well.
At present, it’s pretty apparent that he’s dedicated the most time to honing his voice. His singing is strong! He’s joined forces with a circle of other composers and artists like him, and that combined force is the real reason why his songs always sound so different. They’re all just experimenting! Some folks say he should get more serious about his career, others say they like his looseness… Guess it depends on the person haha. He’s dating an artist as well, though not the musical kind. Her name is Blake, and she’s the one he talks to the most. They like to bake together but neither of them are all too good at it, haha…
- Like with Blake, you can dress him in whatever outfit so long as it fits the color scheme.
- I like to color eyes in really confusing ways, but they’re just brown. The purple is there for… flair I guess? You can ignore it.
- If you’re drawing his dragon form feel free to change it up! I’m probably gonna redesign it anyways, so changes are welcome, even.

- He can play some instruments as well as sing! He has the most experience with piano, but he knows a bit of guitar and drums as well.
- Occasionally he’ll stream things, like playing video games (he’s awful at most of them), or singing/music stuff (which he is considerably better at). His fanbase is really small but really dedicated.
- Despite his sleepy demeanor, he gets very upbeat during performances! It’s like he’s been possessed…
- Sometimes he’ll do the arrangements for his songs, other times he’ll work with his little circle of other artists to make stuff. He’s often a vocalist for some of the instrumental composers in his circle. He definitely writes his own lyrics though, for his own songs at least.
