Kitten

A tale old as time, a kitten's birth. Honey was born in a litter of four with an even split of mollies and toms. A second litter for her parents Rain and Bee. Though, on the night of their birth, her eldest brother named River passed. Perhaps a bad omen.

Honey was easy to raise as a kitten. Well-mannered and gentle towards her siblings her mother rarely had to worry for her. Though, Petal, her sister, was a scamp. Alwasy gearing for and adventure or some big showdown with the other stray kittens. Scales and Fish, their olders sisters were often in charge of kitten-duty and encouraged them to get into antics while also defending them from their scolding parents. Mostly to keep the youngsters out of way of their fighting parents.

The animosity between Rain and Bee grew worse as the days passed. And eventually those snippets of biting words and accusing glares turned into full-blown fights. The worst of them was when Fish and Petal went missing after a really bad storm. The memory of her parents fighting with fangs and claws over who was responsible for their loss was burned into Honey's young mind. The day after Rain and Scales were gone as well, leaving Bee to try to provide for her family on her own. Eventually her two older brothers disappeared as well, leaving Honey alone with a mother who's eyes were vacant and three littermates who were just as helpless as her.

Honey took it upon herself to square up with the larger stray kits. Still sweet as her namesake and full of life she quickly befriended a rather snippy young tom named Sun and a spunky little guy named Pond. They were somewhat rivals with another kitten named Blizzard, who was well-known for her bite being worse than her bark. Honey was quick to spot her little groupies of another she-kitten named Koi. One particularly bad squabble between them where her favorite, Pond, was being picked on she lost her temper. Honey and Blizzard buttedheads and had to be seperated. Honey was in a particularly nasty mood that not only had she lost her cool, but Pond said he didn't want to be friends with her if she was going to act that way. And in her nasty mood she called Koi a crybaby with every ounce of anger her short little body had.

Youth

Time passed and within a few months her family were growing up. Honey didn’t grow much as her peers, but she beefed up. A thick, sturdy set of legs and strong muscles hidden under her untamed mane gave her the role of protector of her friends. While not as fast as some of her companions she could handle a brawl easily. But her biggest growth was her understanding that she had some hurtful things to her peers. Particuarly a molly named Koi. So when rumors went through the local strays that Merlin had vanished from her twoleg home, the pale molly made her way to the little windowsill fo Koi's home.

The apology was rough but she meant every word she said. To her relief Koi accepted it. The two spoke more, of family and siblings...when Honey realized Koi's siblings were dead. It wasn't a big secret between the strays. Quite of few of them had been snatched up by twoleg hands, taken to the vet before being dropped back reeking of weird smells and unable to have families. And if they never came back...they were dead. If Merlin was missing she might be dead too. It was a harsh but Honey wasn't going to let her keep holding out hope that her sibilings would be returned to her. But with Merlin not having been taken to the vet specifically, Honey offered to help the kittypet look for her adopted sibling. That night Honey tore the mesh of the window, hopped down, and invited Koi on an adventure.

Too soon in their early days of searching they ran into Blizzard. Blizzard and Koi argued, as Blizzard was far from happy that she and Koi were hanging out. Honey let the other molly fight her battle, though she wanted to tear into Blizzard again. The following morning Blizzard and Koi had their agreed sparring match. Which went turned into an acutal fight. The memories of her parents fight flashed through her mind when Koi was struck with a particularly bad blow to the stomach. Unlike when she was a kitten, however, Honey acted. She pushed Blizzard back long enough for Koi and herself to flee into the trees.

It took a few moons to heal and in that time Honey grew very close to her. And a sense of protectiveness settled into the cream molly's heart when they started their search for Merlin again. Perhaps a terrifying, but fond memory from their journey was when a lizard they had been hunting turned the chase on them. It was a vicious little thing that held no fear for the two cats, even chasing them up a tree. When it left and the two escaped the two mollies confessed feelings for each other, in the young foolish ways youths do.

Adulthood

When Koi stopped growing Honey realized they would never find Merlin. They had long lost the scent of a kittypet home, but Koi never wanted to give up. And as long as Koi wanted to search, Honey would search with her. It wasn't a special day, when Honey had gone further than usual to look for her crush's long-lost sibling, but Honey's mood was sour. It was hot, they were struggling to find food, and Honey had reached a point she wanted to find a safe place to settle down with the taller molly. So when she returned to their temporary shelter and caught Koi with a stranger kitten calling her mama...Honey's temper got the best of her again. It was the worst kind of surprise and she was cross for a while, but she didn't dare argue about it with little ears listening.

It didn't help that Honey was growing fond of the little brat. Her heart was tender and she wouldn't dare abandoned the lost thing again. But it did add more worry and work their plates. As they continued their journey they found a place that held so many cat scents it was dizzying. And dangerous as the three found out. An aggressive stranger attacked their little family with a viciousness that the two adults hadn't seen before. Koi and Honey were injuried from their tussel before they snatched up Blossom and fled across the thunderpath into territory that smelled of fish. They were soon found by a RiverClan patrol and brought into the clan. Honey wasn't keen on trusting them, yet when Koi was reunited with Merlin, now named Merlinpond. And when Koi turned to her with happiness and hope in her eyes Honey couldn't say no to joing the fish-cats. Koi took the name Koidawn and Blossom was given the name Blossomkit. She however, decided to keep her name as simply Honey.

• Koi finds Blossom and Honey is upset about another to worry about, but they keep Blossom.
• Honey and Koi suffer injuries after being attacked by a rouge.
• Koi is reunited with Merlinpond in RiverClan and the little family joins the clan.
• Koi becomes Koidawn, Blossom becomes Blossomkit.
