The Beginning. . .
Hawkkit was born to Finchmouth and Greyfur, within the litter, there was himself, Ashenkit and Dustykit. Although things already started off sour for the three kits. As their mother soon lost her life after the birthing process. Due to this, Greyfur was mostly absent from the three kit's lives, as they were passed onto one of the perm-Queens within the clan.
The three kits grew up close. After all they were all they had. It was almost impossible to ever seperate them. Their Father visited them from time to time, but when he visited, it was almost like he wasn't there at all. He was a stranger to these kits.
The Middle. . .
The three kits were made apprentices, Hawkpaw's first mentor was a Guard by the name of Rockcrack, he was a tough cat, with a loud and proud personality, and a louder sense of humour. The tom was a breath of fresh air compared to the company he was used to, that being his father. Hawk would spend a few moons of his training as a Guard. Although, he quickly found that it wasn't the thing for him. Although he didn't want to say anything, He felt like he needed to be Guard to make Rockcrack proud. Although suppose Rockcrack got a sense that this wasn't for Hawkpaw or that Hawkpaw wasn't happy with what he was doing. Here Rockcrack asked if Hawkpaw would be able to join some scout patrols, giving him a taste of something completely different.
After his first Scout patrol, Hawkpaw came back with a spark within him. It had been ignited. He came back to Rockcrack telling him everything and how great it was. Rockcrack laughed and said he'd speak to Twistedstar see if they could get Hawkpaw a Scout mentor. Hawkpaw was excited, although he couldn't help but feel bad for his mentor, he wouldn't be the Guard that he wanted him to be. Although Rockcrack assured him, that he was much happier to see Hawkpaw happy.
Although when Rockcrack went to speak to Twistedstar about Hawkpaw's apprenticeship, Twistedstar was quick to deny a transfer of mentor. Claiming they needed more Guards than they needed Scouts. Rockcrack wasn't going to take no for an answer, and continued pressing the leader. The next day, there was no sign of Rockcrack. Twistedstar claimed that Rockcrack left the clan, that he was a traitor to the clan. Although Hawkpaw didn't believe this, there was too much that didn't add up to him. It was here where Hawkpaw was given another mentor, this time a scout named Bluewing, she was known for her sharp tongue and her speed, She seemed very different to Rockcrack.
Hawkpaw continued to think about Rockcrack, he was happy training as a scout, but he couldn't help but wonder what happened to his former mentor. One night the young tom snuck out of camp and went to the last location that Twistedstar Claimed that he was last seen. From there Hawkpaw used all his tracking abilities to try and find his former mentor. But as the sun began to rise, then by the time it was Sunhigh he was no closer to finding his mentor. The scent he was following had faded completely. As he began to walk back home he can only remember being knocked out by another larger cat. He doesn't remember anything else. When he next awoke, he had his new wounds on his face and shoulder, and he was right next to the HawthornClan border.
The tom stumbled into the camp, hazy but not too injured. He was quickly seen by his mentor and the medicine cat. His brother and sister gave him a quick visit and a scolding asking where he went. He didn't answer. They asked what happened. He said he didn't remember. Due to his actions he was held back a moon, and had to watch his siblings be made warriors, Ashenrose and Dustyskink.
The End. . .
Before long it was finally time for Hawkpaw to be made a official scout for the clan. He was given the name Hawksoar. He sat holding his vigil, and he sat glaring daggers at the leader's den. He didn't trust Twistedstar, something didn't seem right.
