Current job/role: Caretaker of the Grounds, mainly finds peace in seeking out unwanted weeds and cares for many of the potted plants around the Castle.

Personality:Kumiho is sweet and caring, and has an immense knowledge for a new Kitsunegami. As a past Guardian Tenko, Kumiho found it her calling to care and watch over those around her, including the plants and creatures inhabiting the area. She is typically well-liked, but can be short-tempered if pushed enough. Stay out of her way if she’s angry - giving her time to cool off is always the best approach. She becomes incredibly intimidating if those around her are threatened, and can hold her own in a fight - although it has been noted she seems to take on a completely different personality when angered.

Background: Kumiho was a Tenko Kitsune that worked under Inari during her lifetime. As a Tenko, she gained immense knowledge of the world she thrived in over the thousand years, working her way up through the kitsune ranks of Inari’s Guardians. Eventually reaching Tenko, Kumiho found there was nothing more to satisfy her growing curiosity serving under Inari. She watched over her own kind and carried out the more important tasks assigned by the God, but after centuries of her duty, she was asked to retire. Not wanting to do so, Kumiho had learned of tales in far off lands that allowed their kind another life, following the Exiled. She took this opportunity, blessed by Inari, to carry out her duties in another life on her own.

During the Dream: Kumiho found herself in a void of golden hues. The earth around her passed by in wicked blurs as she tread through The Dream. She was able to recall moments of her life early as a kitsune, wild and free - taunting humans with foxfire. She was quite the troublemaker. Until Inari accepted her into the ranks of Shrine Kitsune, Kumiho lived a life of thievery and troublemaking. She taunted the farmers, chased children, and raided the chicken sheds. Kumiho thought back to her life of a Kinko Kitsune; filled with enjoyment and special treatment from Inari. She’d run errands for the Shrines, bring gifts to and from areas, and accept rituals from humans for the Great Inari. She loved this more than anything. The memories faded, and the swirling golden grasslands took over her view. A sparkling landscape of rice fields stretched across the plane, ending in a bright white light. She followed this guide; The Exiled.

After the Dream: Kumiho awoke soon after exiting her dream. The world was vibrant around her, all senses tingling with anticipation. She stood, stumbling slightly. Looking at her paws, she noticed that her pure white coat was replaced with dark rusty paws, slowly lightening in color as the krept halfway up her limbs. A light gold fur replaced her snow-white one. She had lost her Inari Markings, replaced with what could only be seen as rice stalks, golden and sparkling over her back and flank. There even trailed a single large rice stalk down the sides of her tail. Kumiho ran to the bank of a slow moving river, gazing into the pool. Her ears had turned a bright sunset orange, and her eyes from golden yellow, to a vibrant sunset red. It was all a startling contrast from before. Kumiho didn’t expect a physical change, but she smiled at her reflection. A new world, a new look. Swinging her attention to the Castle that lay looming in the distance, Kumiho trotted off, tail swishing excitedly behind her.

Aura: Kumiho’s aura consists of a golden hue that swell from her paws and fur that allow plants to grow without water or nutrient rich soils. This unique aura is present in many floral type Kitsunegami, however Kumiho’s has a subtle odor to it. Kumiho gives off a sweet scent, often mixed with the smell of leaves and sweetgrass or lemongrass. Unfortunately, this attracts many curious noses, especially insects - much to Kumiho’s glee. Kumiho’s aura does have a healing capability to it, but mainly effective towards diseases and illnesses rather than nurturing injuries. Because of her frail composure, Kumiho takes great care with her health and uses her aura to assist with small cuts and abrasions she earns while tending to more difficult foliage. Using her aura does exhaust her in her current state, so she uses it sparingly.
