Origin?

Redd first found himself in the middle of a dead forest, finding only two other people, Skye and Ash. The three of them quickly decided that they needed to stay together to survive and to find their way out to the forest, however all their hopes were quickly shattered when the smallest of them, Ash, was poisoned.

Both Redd and Skye were devastated, doing everything they could think of to try and save Ash's life. That's when they ran into him. A mysterious man hiding under a cloak stumbled upon the three of them and offered to help cure Ash. The price for this kindness? Well, Skye and Redd had to allow him to use them as test subjects. The two agreed, spending the next two years of their lives struggling to survive the vast amount of experiments they were put through.

The three of them stayed close together, Skye and Redd relying on a rivalry to keep them sane, and Ash taking a job of a makeshift healer to help treat the wounds that some of the more extreme experiments left on his brothers. For a year, the three of them went through this without any change, doing their best to try and keep the others safe.
One day, there was a sudden shift in their dynamics when a new test subject was brought into the mansion. Day Saridia (https://toyhou.se/1203457.day) was practically gifted to Neobern after he revived her, and he wasted no time in putting her through several other tests, keeping her seperate from the others at first.

Redd had happened to meet her by chance, sneaking out of his room at night in an attempt to find an escape. Their first interaction was far from pleasant, quickly changing from a surprised meeting to a fight almost immediately. Since Day had come from the neighboring realm of Azurel, she had always seen unicorns as powerful creatures, which led her to be fearful of Redd. Redd was simply startled to find someone else there that night, even more surprised to see someone he didn't know, and so he reacted with anger. Their interation led to Neobern finding Redd, which resulted with a harsh punishment. However, since their meeting did not effect test results, Neobern quickly grew bored of isolating Day.
Though much of their interactions happened "off camera", it's known that the two had the chance to talk frequently... Which led to more fights between them. Redd had no idea how to express his emotions, often falling back on anger to cover up everything. He couldn't express any of his confusion for why Day was there, or even how thankful he was that she would continue to talk to him. Even when the two would often get into fights loud enough to alert the entire mansion, Redd found it all to be pretty fun. After all, it broke up the monotony and gave him something else to look forward to each day.
However, one day between the tests, he stumbled upon Day in the halls. For some reason, she was crying and refused to say what was wrong. This led to another argument, but for once Redd felt a sense of guilt afterwards. Just seeing her like that, he couldn't explain how her felt, but he had a strong urge to stop whatever the cause was.
It was the day after that when he overheard Neobern, hearing him say that Day's tests were inconclusive, a sure sign that she was outliving her usefulness. In a panic, Redd quickly barged into Neobern's office, demanding a trade with him.

Neobern was far too amused by this to point out the fact that selling his soul meant nothing in Redd's case, as he already owned him. Neobern accepted, as he had no use for Day, and began to intensify the various tests on Redd.

Despite Skye and Ash's confusion, Redd never brought up the exact reason why he sold his soul and the three quickly fell back into their usual routine.

After another year, Redd had finally decided enough was enough, and stormed up to the man who tortured them, demanding he let Ash and Skye go. The man called Neobern only laughed at his words, asking him: "And what could you possibly give me in return? You've sold your soul to me already. You're worthless now."
To which Redd responded with: "Then make me something that's worth it."

The event ended with creator interference; Skye, Ash, and now Redd all freed from Neobern.

The three were quickly rushed to see Fidget, a healer within Namina, and were separated for the first time in their lives.

While Ash and Skye handled it all fairly well, Redd just could not put himself back in a good place. He was unable to get a hold of himself. Right when he was about to act on his thoughts, he heard a knock at his door and a soft voice asking him if it was alright to come in. Even when he didn't respond, the door opened and in stepped the healer's apprentice, Lavender (https://toyhou.se/1203332.lavender-roland). She ignored his warnings and death glares, trying to start up a conversation with him. When that failed, she simply crossed her arms and asked him if he wanted hot cocoa.
Despite telling her to "go fuck herself", Redd couldn't get her to leave the room. It took hours, but eventually Lavender made him agree to step outside with her for the drink in exchange for leaving him alone.

While the two were getting their drinks, Redd was able to calm himself down, finally able to remind himself that he was in a safe place and that he would never have to go back to Neobern.

It was then that Redd smiled at a stranger for the first time, telling Lavender a quick "thanks". The two have been inseparable ever since.

Watch You're Fucking Language!

Redd likes to curse. A LOT.

He prides himself in his more creative string of insults, one of his favorites being "You mother fucking irrelevant, penny next to a damn hundred dollar bill, piece of shit!". The more creative he is with the more bizarre curses, the more he likes the person he's talking with. That or the conversation is just exciting.
If not, then it's either every day chat or he just can't stand who he's talking to.

When it comes to interacting with children, like his niece, he will instantly clean up his speech. There are no other exceptions.

Looking for love?

Far from it.

Redd has tried the relationship stuff but was just never into anyone aside from some crushes here and there. He wasn't sure if he was Aromantic or just hadn't found anyone he was willing to date. 
He has no interest in anything above cuddling, and has been in a fight with a girl who felt that all he needed was sex to help change his mind about it all.

After that little incident, he will quickly yell at or leave whoever tries to hint at something more than a friendship.

That was, until he ran into Day again. The two had heard that Stacy (https://toyhou.se/774460.stacy-) was looking for another test subject, Akai, who still lived in Neobern's mansion. Redd refused to help, until he heard it was a life or death situation. Despite the fact he didn't know who it would help, he decided to try and sneak off to rescue Akai.
Day apparently had the same plan, as the two bumped into each other on the way there. After a quick argument, the two decided to just go together and they were able to successfully save Akai.

Redd, having gotten a bit better at explaining his emotions, was able to tell Day that he never hated her and actually wanted her to stick around. He wouldn't take "no" for an answer after hearing about how poorly things were going for her in Azurel, telling her that he'd force her to meet Lavender.
After a bumpy start and being set up on a blind date with each other (without realizing it), the two started to improve their relationship.
