One of the many offspring of Echidna the Monster-Bearer, but one of the few who have proper sentience, morals, and reasoning. He and his brother Ascalasse wander the lands, never staying in one place too long, and always exploring the hidden wonders and ancient secrets the realm holds.

However his life wasn't always so easy, banished along with his kin and many mutants to the Foggy Swamp, A rotten village built around old ruins of a temple, once a place of worship to the Dragon Overlords that exiled them. Damian lived in this village with the incurable death mutants from the Great War. A twisted and unfortunate lot to be stuck with. They were bitter, rude, and unkempt.

The self-proclaimed mayor set Damian out to investigate the world outside their walls, when Damian came back reporting the place they once called home was now a shimmering beacon of light and good will, the shady swamp dwellers grew enraged. How dare their city blossom without them! The mayor rallied everyone in the village, busting down the doors and beginning the journey to reclaim their city.

Damian had unknowingly started a war between the good paladins of Avingard, and the Foggy Swamp mutants. He was caught up in the fray, the thick smell of blood that followed the army fueled his demonic lust for carnage, quickly becoming one of the army's greatest assets. Losing himself, and even letting the mayor feed him a powerful stone made of pure dark magic that had been found on one of their raids. To truly turn poor Damian in an unstoppable beast of war. Even going as far as devouring fleeing and hiding children he came across.

It was finally complete and total exhaustion that caused his killing spree to end. Even draining the stone in his stomach of all it's magical energy. Coming to his senses at long last, and regretting the carnage and pain he had caused. He slumped off into the night, disappearing for a few years to try and come to terms with what he had done, and trying to figure out how to move on.
