Indigo's Links
"Verity... or... should I refer to her as Auntie Verity... regardless, she tends to be somewhat overwhelming at times with how overtly nice she is. This is how she's been ever since I was a child anyway... and every time I come to Deepnest, she insists I have tea with her and I just cannot say no to her. She's done much to teach me about my heritage, though she does not originally hail from Deepnest herself-- I still owe her much for that."
"Indigo was a particularly quiet child in his youth, but it was clear that as he grew his disdain for the world grew along with him, I could see it. He still is rather quiet, somewhat rude but never to me, but he comes to visit me rather often. Ever since he could manage his way here all on his own, he's looked to me to learn about Deepnest and its deep enriching culture. He's a smart boy, he's just not unlocked all of that hidden potential he has underneath all of the disdain he holds."
"It seems from the start, she's never left me alone. And perhaps that's a good thing. I've been told many many times by my aunt that I need to make friends... so in this circumstance, I did when the opportunity was presented to me. Although we are very different, Bluebell likes to talk a lot, especially about the... strangely interesting things she's interested in, and I simply like to listen. The topics she speaks of are foreign to me... but even if I cannot see it, I just know how happy she is to talk about it all by her voice."
"Who would think that such a 'lowly' bug like me would be friends with the prince of Hallownest! Completely unheard of! Pff... I kid, I kid. Honestly, Indigo doesn't act any prince-like other than the way he speaks, so strangely formal, but I mean- he's always been kind of distant anyway. The more I got to know him, the more I broke apart his outer shell-- and obviously, him making other friends also helped him plenty. He's just... waaayyy to interesting to me, way too interesting! He listens to me! This man even gives me geo that I keep refusing but he's persistent on me having money!! For someone who is so so mean to others, he can be so completely nice to those he cares about. It's sweet, really, but kinda overwhelming."
"Hera's always been there for me, ever since I was young. So even now, as we are adults, she still is there for me, and I am for her when I can be. I see how stressed she gets over having all of this 'queen-training' to do, wishing she could have as much free time as I do. And honestly, I do as well. Hera deserves a lot after all she's done for me, she deserves a lot."
"Ahahaha! my little brother! Or rather-- my first little brother, what a guy. I remember fondly how cute and shy he was as a kid, curious too, but as time passed a lot of things changed about him. I don't entirely blame him though, those noble brats were ruthless with him even when he's the literal prince of this kingdom... honestly... usually you'd think they'd show some respect. But that just didn't happen. Either way, even if he's different and... considerably moody, and all of that--- he's still my brother and I love him. Nothing's changed between us, and I'm extremely happy because of that."
"Tiberius reminds me of when I was younger, he believes himself unable to cast a single spell because he often keeps failing. But I look to the advice I was given to bring me to where I am today, and I give him the same advice. I pity him, I truly do, and I hope one day he'll show all of Hallownest how great he can be. I believe it will happen."
"Indigo's far too nice to me, waayy too nice. I mean, I don't deserve it, I don't think I do... but his words motivate me to keep going. It's surprising hearing such positive things from him.. but very welcoming, I appreciate it."
"I was unsure of him at first but I slowly realized that he was stuck under the metaphorical thumb of his family. It was inevitable I lost trust in him.. but that trust was regained, and I feel as if now that he's been Veldas apprentice he's shown his true self. And along with that, has understood others better. I could say I'm proud..?"
"It was never my intention to become his friend truly, I was only made to because my family wanted something out of him-- but deciding to let go of what my family planned for me to do was relieving. Being away from them for so long has cleared my mind and helped me become more genuine with others."
"I can admit, I hated her at first. I truly did, the child that came out of nowhere right after Kier also came out of nowhere. Returning to not one but two siblings after an important and stressful mission made me angry. And the ever so curious Mona who asked me questions constantly, neverending, which annoyed me further. But once I witnessed her true feelings about everything, how she was too young and too stressed to have to do all of this stuff in the future, I felt quite bad. Needless to say, our relationship is better now. I truly have accepted her as my sister."
"Hmm.. well I mean.. he was really mean at first. But I think we understand each other better nowadays, even if I still don't totally understand why he doesn't call mom... well... mom. It's not my place to ask him really personal questions and I see that now! I just still want to know a lot more about my brother."
"Along with Mona, I truly despised Kier ever since he was hatched. It's a horrible thing to admit.. but it's the truth of the matter. But as time passed, and as he grew, he kept following me about and wanting to interact with me. That tiny little voice of his... I could not handle it.. that was my brother and I was leaving him in the dust.. wasn't I? So eventually I became much like Hera, I adored my brother, and I still do. I just hate the fact he's much taller than me, even if I cannot see it. I know he is."
"My elder brother is very serious, and strong, but I know he can show his caring side from time to time. I admire the way he's very adamant about certain things, especially on showing his fighting prowess. Watching him spar with others makes me want to fight too.. but... I'm afraid to really hurt others.... if only I wasn't such a coward."
"Cassiopeia is a very overwhelming person overall. I may not be able to see but the constant light she emits irritates my eyes even so. It's not like I hate her, I just don't interact with her much and she doesn't make any conversation with me."
"I've not talked to him as often as I've talked to Hera.. I mean.. he's always there it's just not the easiest to talk to him..? Either way, I also got to hold him when he was a baby. I've just been here observing him grow up into this very cold, distant person. Maybe I just don't know him too well, I really need to talk to him more. He's so lonely and depressed looking!"
"She's the quiet one compared to her and her sister, and by all means, is the one I find interacting with... much more pleasant. Though I never truly have spent much time with her, I remember her being rather curious of me in her youth... I felt her presence a lot as she was observing me. Was I too scary to approach? Who knows, but she can talk to me with ease nowadays it appears. Though it's... quite obvious to me that Seline has changed over the years, it's curious."
"Indigo was someone I too looked up to, and I can say... I still do. The way he fights without qualm, though he lacks eyesight-- he fights like a warrior who does. Now that is something to look up to, not the knights and squires I've observed... flashy attire and haughty attitudes, boasting they are more than they truly are. I recall one time watching Indigo beat one of these said knights in a spar, it was... fun to watch, all things considered, because he knocked that fellow off of his feet!"
"I find it draining to interact with her, let alone spar with her-- she insists I help her learn, and I only do so due to the fact that she is my cousin. Honestly, perhaps the reason why I don't like interacting with this child is due to the fact she reminds me of.... of her."
"Hmph, although he acts as nice as possible to me outwardly I just know he looks down on me! Even masked, I can feel it, and it drives me so so mad."
"The palace doctor.... and mage, to note. While I seldom interact with him, I know he's a good person-- I know he did take care of my mother's health when she was eggbound with my younger brother. From him, I sense some form of... longing-- for who? I really do not know."
"The story of the first prince is one of intrigue, born blind and rather small... he fought against all the odds and became a rather good fighter. I've always wanted to ask him more, but I feel that'd be rude."
