Adeline is a solitary person in nature - loves to hang around trees taking a so-called 'catnap' and rarely does she seek out other people to 'hang out'. Really, when a person is looking for her, their best bet is to probably look up at the trees, they'd most likely see a black tail dangling about in the foliage. When in the company of other people - a mission, class, or whatever reason she is needed to socialize - she usually has a bright smile or two ready to go and an arsenal of compliments. She seems to have a silver-tongue and had made it a habit to flirt with another person just to see their reaction. Of course, she tries to tone this down when she is made aware that the other person is taken - just one harmless compliment shouldn't be a problem, right?
She's the type of person to avoid initiating anything though. Sports? Studying? Exercise? No thank you, she'd rather prioritize her sleep. She doesn't mind watching though as long as she isn't going to join. Most of the time, Adeline needs to be 'ordered' or 'required' by another person/authority to get her to do anything. Adeline is known to have quite a cunning mind, can usually read another person's thoughts by little tics and their tone - stashing it away for future references or processing how to use it to their advantage... Luckily though, manipulating other people is quite a tedious task and her ideas to use people to her advantage remain simply as that: IDEAS
Adeline becomes aggressive in the presence of people she deems to having a 'dominant' personality - this is due to her own root's alpha/territorial nature manifesting

* Is the type to ask her handler/house leader for gifts. "So, did I do a good job? Did I? Did I? You have a reward for me?"

* Her left eye? Oh, nothing is wrong with it. She just realized she can see farther objects and less headaches when one eye is covered: "When one wing is broken, the other flies better" (Adeline does not know it but she has Anisometropia)

Initially born in the forest, Adeline was another child of a black leopard who had been running away from hunters. Her mother had escaped her captivity when she found out she was pregnant soon after they'd found a buyer for her. It had been difficult for the hybrid hunters to find a buyer for her since she was already quite 'old' and so she'd been rented for a while. Worried that her children would experience the harsh treatment she had under the hands of several humans - she ran away and had eluded recapture ever since.
As Adeline and her sibling grew, it soon came to their mother's realization that she was finding it hard to follow their pace. While they are able to run at high speeds, they need to slow down to match their mother's pace; While they climb trees to safely sleep during the day, she stays on the ground; While their steps are still light to catch an unwitting prey, her footsteps would give it away. It was becoming clear that she was starting to become a liability to them and just may become a reason for hybrid hunters to catch them. So she sent them away.
Adeline had tried to find a territory in the forest - a glade, a burrow, even a tree! - to call her own but she'd soon grown bored of the endless trees and there were still hunters on her trail. So she thought of another way to hide... After all, the best place to keep something hidden is to keep it in plain sight, right? So she soon found a city to move in.
When she'd become an 'alley-cat' it was much easier to slip by the radar of hunters and she easily passes off as a simple black cat. Now feeling much safer in the city - with no one after her 'hide' for a trophy - she'd turned to stealing and discovered her first love: 'expensive items'. Basically, anything that is housed within a mansion, she tries to steal, not to pawn off but simply to keep. This was the lifestyle she'd kept up for several years. She'd steal valuable items, things to eat, and even clothes she'd wear! Well... it was basically the only thing she could do to survive in a city but she was enjoying it more than was necessary. Stealing seems to have been more of a hobby than an actual means to live. It is during one of these stealing sprees that this female panther picked up the name she is currently using: "Adeline".
There was just a bit of a problem... Since collecting every expensive things she comes across, her growing stash was getting more difficult to hide. Once it had been found, Adeline refused to leave her collection behind and she was soon arrested...
