Final Fantasy XV Redux

"Callixtus, get back!"
It all seemed to happen so fast. Callixtus felt a hand push against his chest, causing him to fall back. Immediately, he looked up, his silver eyes widening in horror as his father's blood sprayed his face. He could see the large pincer snap open and close through his father's torso.
"D-dad?" Callixtus' voice was small, shaky, fearful.
"Heh. You're your mother's son," Loqi said hoarsely, blood sliding down the sides of his mouth. "Be...good, Cal."
"Daddy!" the child screamed.
Loqi's eyes closed, his body lacking any movement. The large pincer raised up and threw the lifeless body off to the side.
"You're...going...to...Pay!" Nix screamed as she rushed towards the monster.
True to the stories he heard, his mother's speed seemmed to rival any he's seen. She jumped so high into the air that Callixtus had lost sight of her. Nix drove her shakujo into the creature's back, driving it as far as she could.
"Mommy!" Callixtus screamed out. The tears he tried to hold back after seeing his father began to flow as he watched the scorpion's tail plunge into his mother's back.
Nix gave out a painful cry as she fell to one knee. "I...don't fucking think so!"
