Alice is beloved and well known for her kindness and generosity- something she is less known for is her obsessive workaholic lifestyle.
Alice owns an antique store in Halifax. She has a bachelor's in Business Economics from UCLA. She doesn't make a lot of money, but managing is a business is enough to keep her constantly busy. Alice has no intention to become a capitalist or powerful businesswoman- she's very into nature and hiking and would rather have a fun business with old, smelly objects.
Alice's first and current love is her girlfriend, Petra Kate. Best friends from all the way back to their toddler years, they've been joined at the hip as soon as they could both walk. In their teens, they realized they were in love with each other, and their relationship dynamic barely changed as they went from friends to girlfriends. Alice has always supported Petra in everything she does, showing up to every concert she can and being the loudest supporter.
Alice loves hiking and spending time outdoors- she's a big fan of a tromp through the woods. A stroll through Bluff Forest is one of her favorite pastimes.

It's worked pretty well for her so far. Her friends adore her, as she maintains a lot of information about her friends so that they know she cares.

She'll fill out forms and manage her store until she literally passes out, she'll hang out with her friends and girlfriend even when she has no energy left, and she'll dive so deep into her work that she can't physically concentrate on anything else.

Alice's parents are the definition of hipsters.
Alice herself is a third generation immigrant, but her parents were never ashamed of their culture, even though they, along with their own parents, had to assimilate in order to fit in. Alice grew up with an acute knowledge of japanese culture, as well as the people who came before her. Her early childhood was very bland, in a pleasant way. She met Petra at the age of two, and they hit it off right away.
TEENAGE YEARS
Alice was diagnosed with ADHD a year after Petra was- the things Petra told her she had discussed during her own diagnosis made her realize a few things about herself and her behavior. The knowledge that she had it didn't make too much of a difference- her parents believed therapy and nutritional supplements were the best treatment, instead of the dopamine that she actually needed. The way Alice acted up in class was just focusing on work that interested her more- she struggled with English classes and excelled at math and anything that required specific processes to find the answer. Also she and Petra got together, which their parents were only mildly surprised by.
ADULTHOOD
Alice ended up going to UCLA for business, while Petra scraped by with solo musical gigs. After Alice graduated, they moved down to Lockwood, a small beach town in Oregon, and she opened up her first antique store. They didn't do too well, and eventually they moved to Halifax, where she's doing a little better. She at least has more than one employee now.
