Jimmy is a bit of a casual groupie/passive friend to Mystik Spiral.
After Jane and Daria leave for college and Trent is alone in the house he ends up spending some time with Jimmy, since he's a down-to-earth type of guy who's willing to critique Trent's music.
Him and Trent begin to casually date without being too open about it, but the band seems to enjoy his company enough.
Jane and Daria think he's kind of an idiot, but then again, you can only really handle one Trent.
