Buttermilk is a cat who lives in Pussyland , A place where cats walk on two legs and live in a human-like society.
The cats in pussyland have a strange power, they have the ability to live their life is "stages" as they call it. When a cat is feeling an intense emotion, or simply feeling disconnected from the world, they will turn strange colors and look distorted.

When multiple cats are in these stages, it is called hysteria.
