Nuki, known under the codename of Tanuki, is described as someone whose dreams didn’t go as planned. She wanted to be a hero since a young age and she did become one..but at the cost of also becoming the literal meat-shield for the rest of the team. Nuki is always tired, both mentally and physically, she just wants a break from getting her body torn up for the sake of the team on missions. Aside from it all, she’s lovely to talk with, always cracking jokes about her current state, Nuki is hard to displease and kind of a push-over, don’t take pity on her tho, Nuki learned to deal with the inconveniences of being a hero, she’s fine with it..or so we think- She tends to forget she has the ability to regenerate so she might scream at first from the shock of her arm being gone to becoming calm again after realising she has powers.

No need to go in details for her past, she had your average childhood as a single child, average(and boring) parents and a few friends..who didn’t stick around long after highschool. At age 18, Nuki enrolled in a special program dedicated into recruting candidates as future heroes, she was selected and was turned, after multiple experiments, into the hero we know today as the unkillable hero, Tanuki. The codename references her costume which makes her look like a thief with her handy steel baseball bat and it is known tanukis are thieves, right- In other words, her hero name as nothing to do with her power, just with her appearance, she doesn’t mind as it feels better to be called a thief than to get shot twelve times by getting used a literal shield by her teammate and getting just a "thank you for your help !" from them. It was made obvious from the beginning of her entering the team that her entire role as a hero there is to suffer for the rest of the members, Nuki is the meat-shield and she’ll never be able to change her role.
