Profile

The model Cygnus 5 (often shortened to Cy for comfort's sake) is one in a long series of android projects specifically engineered for deep space exploration missions by one of the largest, most advanced companies for technology and machinery today.
The objective of these androids is that of an unaging traveler and pilot to man those spacecrafts send into the farthest regions of the universe known to man and beyond and transmitting their logs and findings back to earth.
Cygnus 5 however underwent odd malfunctions during its test phase which manifested in increasingly human reactions towards given stimuli and were eventually defined as an inexplicable kind of emotional development within the software system, as all models were made to mimic human (inter-)action as accurately as possible whilst maintaining their technological precision and brain capacity (as well as physical enhancements).
As the company was averse to spending time and money on locating and fixing the issues Cygnus 5 suffered and would rather simply build a newer, better version, Cygnus 5 has been discontinued and remains the only model of his kind.

Cy is a rather sad boy, cooped up in the lab or wandering about the company's giant main base in which it is located. He's been deemed nonhazardous for the employees and is thus left to himself and neglected by everyone most of the time, especially since they see no gain from further inspections and work on his model - he could well be a ghost had he not a physical body.
So long as he stays withing company property (and doesn't cause disturbances) Cy can go wherever and do whatever he pleases; he however does not at all enjoy his freedom as what he seeks most is social interaction and attention, courtesy of his heightened emotional ability.
If at all noticed, he is treated as a being far below the employees of the company (or any human, for that matter) and rarely experiences anything other than cold, brief conversations or commands.
Is oftentimes found sitting by himself with melancholy weighing heavy on his shoulders or glancing out windows, trying to cope with his loneliness.
