This story begins like many others; with two people meeting each other in some unexpected circumstances. They're beautiful, they're young, they have romantic hearts and souls. What could possibly go wrong?
Well, everything.
First time when Apollo meets Henry is the one when he unfortunately lands in the gutter and his clothes are all cover in dirt. He won't say it that it's his fault. No, no, no. It's all because of this thoughtful passerby.
Apollo don't know his name, don't know where is he from, but he challenges him to a sword duel immediately. And Henry can't refuse.
And that is the beginning of many more duels, many more brawls in the inns, of long discussions in the letters and a lot of rumors going around. Sleepless nights and mashed Chinese vases.
It is the beginning of the series of adventures and the view of the eighteenth century depicted by a man who stands on the top of the luxury and wealth, who is both lavish and generous.
And you may call him a viveur. Or dandy. Bouffon or charlatan, poet and fencer. Each of these and all of these is Apollinaire de Ch., young count and a man of the Enlightenment world.

Officially, Salvador is his tutor. Unofficially - he is his father's lover. And privately Apollo treats him like a parent, like a second better dad who pampers him and lets him do more morally doubtful things than Philippe.
Henry
Apollo thinks that Henry is ugly.
And Henry dropped an ink into Apollo's tea once.
Relationship status: it's a bit complicated, but Apollo is deeply convinced that he hates him and that Henry is the worst thing that happened to him in his entire life.
Aurore
His chambermaid and confidant of his secrets. And absolutely terrible at keeping them. She goes to her neighbour Eleonore to gossip just right after she hears some exciting news. Don't trust her.
She's also a champion in peeling potatoes, that's a very important note for the story.
Charles
Apollo's best friend. Always there to ruin his day and gets him into a trouble.
