Personality
Suzume is a very energetic and extraverted person, always being eager to make new friends. Though strong and courageous, her impulsiveness makes her recklessly dive head first into dangerous situations. She will rarely think before taking risks, sometimes needing her brother to slow her down and use caution. Suzume has a fiery passion for Demon Slaying and will always stick by her values of helping others. She holds no compassion for the demons she fights and will often be brutal. She's wears her heart on her sleeve but sometimes her emotions get the better of her. She loves eating food that isn't her brothers, and can be a bit greedy when it comes to portions. Expect her to be more irritable when going too long without eating. Suzume holds a strong love for bees, she grew up around them and became fascinated by their nature, eventually inspiring her Breath Style by them. Overall, you can trust her to be a good friend and great protector!

Backstory
Suzume was born into a quaint little village where she lived alongside her older brother, Cairo, and parents. Their home was more secluded in a forest away from the rest of the town, she enjoyed spending time outside admiring the wilderness and nature. She was a happy and carefree kid but often picked on by other children for eating alot. Cairo would be the one to defend her from them and always made sure she was never hurt. Their relationship is very close, Suzume looked up to him as he made her feel safe. Her domestic life ended when one night, her father came home as a demon. Their mother died protecting her and Cairo as they ran away for help. Cairo told Suzume to hide while he ran to the village for help. When he returned, their father was gone, presumably dead from the sun rise. The two of them were alone. Suzume was devastated and unsure how to cope, leaning heavily on her brother for support as they both helped each other through that time.
They stayed in the village for a bit afterwards. Cairo took on the responsibility of providing for both of them, hunting food and cooking. Suzume struggled with grief, being reminded of the loss constantly in their home. It was a struggle for them to get by, but eventually Cairo tells Suzume that he was going to become a Demon Slayer, and that he found a trainer from another slayer. They find a new home and community, where Cairo gets trained with other slayers and eventually passes the Final Selection. Seeing her brother's determination inspired her to honor her parents and fight alongside him. Cairo was against the idea but she argued that she didn't want to be seperated from him ever and was scared of being alone. Though worried, he ultimately helps train her and after making sure she was prepared, she enters the Final Selection and passes at 16 years old. She becomes a slayer alongside her brother, where they take on missions together. She hopes to climb the ranks alongside her brother, as well as making sure to protect families from demons.

Abilities
Fighting style
• Suzume has enhanced speed and great agility. She can move quickly to dodge attacks as well as maneuver herself throughout a battle. When she has a opening, she deals precise, powerful attacks. Her fighting style is best described as fast and ruthless. Her stamina is pretty high, additionally she's able to endure most attacks.
Determination
• One of Suzume's greatest abilities is her fierce determination. She'll fight beyond her bodies limits to win and rarely thinks about consequences. She's aggressive when it comes to fighting demons and will attack relentlessly so they have no time to react. Her brother believes she goes too far as she focuses on making them suffer more than decapitating them.
Poison
• Suzume's sword is coated with wisteria poison and her sheath contains more of it . She learned how wisteria harms demons in the Slayer Corps and began utilizing it for her fighting style. She carries metal darts that have wisteria to throw and stab demons with to do some more damage. She hopes to experiment and test out her own formulas to create a unique poison.

Relationships
Short Summary:
They have a close relationship considering he is the only family she has left. She admires Cairo and is someone she can rely on, which she thinks she's lucky for. She appreciates the effort he puts into caring and protecting her, but sometimes she thinks he's overbearing. Although she hates his cooking, she always ends up finishing it as she knows he's trying and doesn't want to upset him.
Short Summary:
Suzume looks up to Kenmi as a respectable and skilled pillar. She first befriends her when she sees Kenmi sitting alone eating and wants to get to know her. Kenmi is quiet and withdrawn, but overtime Suzume sees her as a kind, considerate person who is always willing to provide guidance. Kenmi gives her advice on fighting and will later on ask Suzume to become her tsugoku, which she eagerly agrees.
Short Summary:
Their relationship started off rocky, as Suzume was angered by the way he disrespects Kenmi at their first meeting. She was unaware of the history between Kenmi and Hiraku but was initially against him. When she learns of his past from Kenmi, she begins to empathize a bit. After Kenmi and Hiraku reconcile, Suzume is able to forgive him and they're able to develop a close friendship, with Hiraku also becoming a mentor figure to her.
Short Summary:
Suzume is always happy to see Xaro! Suzume first got to know Xaro as she admired his knowledge of spiders and wanted to be friends. She could relate with his passion for them, and found him to be interesting. She was also always comfortable and relaxed around him because of his calm demeanor. She notices his timidness encourages him to be more confident! After spending enough time with him, she develops feelings and they eventually begin to date.
Trivia
• Suzume loves any food that isn't Cairo's, but her favorites are ones that have honey in them!
• Despite eating alot, she rarely gains any weight. She trains alot to make sure she stays light and fast.
• Suzume has a fear of swimming in deep waters due to an incident she had as a child where she almost drowned in a lake.
• She has a pretty sensitive sense of smell, so she hates strong-smelling things. (not like Tanjiros lol)
• Suzume's very knowledgeable about bees and their behaviors, mostly because her mom was also well informed about them. After spending time with them for most of her childhood, she's only ever been stung once.
