- (being reworked ahahhaaa) valery is generally a bright soul, worming his way into other lives out of genuine care for others and a desire to feel connected with his peers, if not just to come across as a bit of a pest. not necessarily mean, he does take into account the reactions of others- in fact, he's probably a little too invested in studying the people in his life. as much as he acts like he doesn't care about the small things like that, letting some detail slip his eye is probably one of the things valery hates most. observation is his constant state, and benignly picking others apart his childhood hobby. it might be easy to miss all of this- he certainly comes across more as the type to spend his days playing games and making his own fun. wily and a plotter, he tends to swoop in a bit blindly in moments where he thinks he fits in. he has a tendency to think quite highly of himself - of course he would - but not as much of a genius as much as a fixer; the clan's problems are his problems, no matter how trivial they might seem to everyone else, including the people involved in the first place. the boy displays an attitude that is self-assured and prideful, though this is probably the most skin-deep of all his traits: truthfully, valery is plagued by worries, and after a past of failure to meet expectations, hates to take any sort of responsibility for things that can affect others and prefers to live his life as carefree as he can.

Design Notes
- a still-growing kitsune, he is relatively lithe and on the slightly shorter end of the spectrum, and is a soft dilute blonde in colour. he spots several distinct golden markings: a streak of gold and a scatter of dots run the length of his sides, ending with a crescent shape mirrored on both thighs. his tails, of which there are currently two, are encircled by bands of gold, one being slightly thinner than the other. his toes are dipped in the same hue, preceded by more bands around his ankles and wrists, and under his each of his eyes rest a crescent, the two making a twin pair. his eyes, yellow as the sun and usually displaying just as much warmth, are wide and expressive- valery still finds it difficult to keep them from betraying emotions. poisonous black blood. wears an earring made of a gold beaded chain with a ruby at the end; located on his right ear
Story
the mafia
valery came to be under somewhat poor, but not unheard of circumstances, as part of a ceasefire attempt between warring lands. of he and his siblings, he was among the ones picked to stay in the mafia, and this is where he lived up to the age of about six months old. while taken care of, his relationship with his at-home parent was inconsistent due to their busyness, and it was much the same with his distant parent, owing to how far away they resided. valery felt from a very young age that the responsibility of putting an end to the conflict between his two homes rested on his and his siblings shoulders; this burden proved to be the main reason he chose to flee the old mafia, as said conflict had never truly been resolved and the young boy began to lose hope of ever living up to what he felt his purpose was. rather than grow up to see even more failure, he set out on his own.
the empire
valery's travels took him to a great kingdom in a jungle far away, and this is where he has since settled and chosen to stay, rising to the rank of a knight.
