Empress is a polite small child, she does what she's told and doesn't bother anybody with anything if she can help it. She often smiles and nods not really listening because her mind is racing ahead she just agrees with what you're saying or if she doesn't she'd rather not start any conflict. She often gets splitting headaches, far too painful for such a small child to have to endure but she hasn't told anybody yet, she doesn't want to worry them so she just swallows her pain and hopes that it will go away with age. She's very mature and intelligent. She notices more than the adults and even the other children do. When she must spend time with adults she is easily bored and seeks conversation with somebody more interesting, the other children are alright "They're just kittens." she says even about the ones older than she is, but although she hopes that they'll get smarter she doesn't have high expectations.

Empress doesn't really understand it but when she'll be off doing whatever she’s doing, she'll get flashes of terribly painful headaches. When this is happening she gets memories of another life, one that isn't her own. When she was younger it was far less bad, just an inconvenience. But now it's getting worse and worse- there's times where she'll think she actually is this strange other person. She gets violent urges often right after one of these- as she's calling them "panic attacks" although she knows that's not what they are, she doesn't want to think about what else it might be. Lately she spends her days worrying about when the next one will be and tries to avoid contact with anybody else lest they find out that this is happening. She of course trusts Haunt but there's a small part of her that even her own parent would betray her and lock her up if they found out. She knows that anything else magical gets hidden away never to be seen or heard from again and she's unsure if parental instincts and love for their own daughter would keep her safe. It's Haunt's job to keep the magic secret. But she tells herself it's not magic, and that she's fine- well certainly lots of people get migraines, it's normal. But Haunt might not believe her, I mean she doesn't even believe herself why would the shrewd person that's an expert at sniffing out magic ever believe her. Nothing too terribly bad has happened yet, so there's no need to worry- she's always able to restrain herself from whatever this other spirit inside of her wants her to do. So far... but if things continue getting worse as they have been doing, she'll most surely lose her grip on reality entirely and succumb to this terrible thing. But as the memories that never actually happened to her, get more frequent and longer she's learning things. Names, secrets and possibly soon- answers.

She's heard one thing that really stood out to her, in this... whatever it is it reality somebody called her Falensake. This was the name of whatever or whoever's life that was/is. If she can find it documented somewhere that would prove that she's not crazy. but it would also prove that this is really happening otherwise how else could she know the name. There's a library in the castle if you know where to look, there's not very many cats that go there- nobody has much interest in such things. She knows that she'd be asked questions if people knew she was going there, and she doesn't want to explain all of this -stuff- that might not even be happening. Her main concern is Haunt, who always wants to know where she is and why- as all parents do. But even if they didn't lock her up when they found out she still didn't want to cause them any worry. So in the night she sneaks off to the library to scour the papers until she finds the name- or if she goes through everything and can't find a single mention- only then will she give up. If that happens then she's just losing her mind and Haunt won't try to make her vanish. She's not entirely sure as to what she hopes to find or not find but she certainly can't do nothing and hope it goes away, that's what she's done about this her whole life and it clearly hasn't gotten her anywhere. She'll go through her daily routine but when she's not doing that she just sits and worries- often sleeping until night when Haunt is no longer awake and watching. The fear and anxiety eats away at her no matter what she does to try and stop it, just like this stupid "curse" or whatever it could possibly be.

She’s used every tool that she can hunt down to distract herself. Her first thought was to use other cats and have conversations with them to keep her mind busy but as she should have predicted all that happened with that was her own thoughts leaping forward, long past the current conversation, and the worry catching up to her faster than she could push it down. So that clearly wasn't a viable option and she resorted to stuff like grinding her teeth and scratching mindlessly at anything scratchable. Princess has a post made by humans for the very purpose and she spent more time using it than she'd like to admit, but it helps.
