Member of a clan of exorcists, Iya grew up being trained in the family arts. She excelled beyond what anyone could have hoped. However, some of her non-traditional methods were frowned upon, earning her a great deal of ire from the clan matriarch. After a near-death experience when she was ten, Iya found the reaction of the clan's matriarch to be unfair. This lead to Iya's decision to study the summoning of spirits, not mearly their sealing and extermination. She made use of the knowledge her great (x27) grandfather's ghost had of the library.
After three years of hard work and study Iya saw fit to escape into the dead of night (taking her great grandfather with her) to make her way as a traveling exorcist. A few land masses and a name change later, Iya has switched to being an adventurer, using her power to make her grandfather corporeal and to summon other spirits to help her. She has since learned that both her life and people skills could use some work, making her path even harder. That said, it's not like it'll stop her.
Iya's original name is currently kept secret. She is going by the name of a character in a story she heard on her travels. (Her grandfather calls her his 'little magpie', much to her agreement.)
Important Physical Information: Tall for her age. Hair on the right side of her face has been cut in a few areas, but it is otherwise straight and as untangled as she can reasonably manage without tying it up.
