Synopsis

Originally born in Japan, Chiaki and her family moved to America shortly after her birth. In her younger years Chiaki was outgoing until the kids in her school began to bully her causing her to become reserved around people her age, eventually leading to her hating school altogether. During her last year in elementary school her parents divorced, not really caring which parent she lived with Chiaki decided to live with her father since she enjoyed the vacations her family would take to Japan to visit her fathers relatives. However the financial strain of being a single parent caused her father to spend all his time working, leaving him little time to properly take care of his daughter. Because of this her father decided to send Chiaki to Japan to live with one of his relatives until he could save enough money to move to Japan and support the both of them. So Chiaki moved in with her father's cousin Kaoru Sakurayashiki, eventually Chiaki takes up skating and begins going to S with Kaoru.
