Admetus

Admetus live in a world of three distinct species - angels, demons, and humans. The species typically keep to themselves, building up their separate communities. Each one considers itself to be superior to the other, but at times they have no choice to, reluctantly, deal with each other. The angels have found that allowing humans to visit their lands as tourists is a very profitable business. There are so many of them, and they freely spend their money to get a glimpse. The downside of the lucrative business is that few angels want to deal directly with humans. The task happens to fall upon Admetus.

Admetus's bloodline is tainted with demon blood. It goes back many generations, and the only sign of it on Admetus are the nubs on the tips of his wings, but still the other angels look down upon him. He is seen as inferior, and is often cast aside due to the demon taint. The angels offer him the choice. He can either become a tour guide, working closely with the humans as he shows them his lands, or he can opt to leave the angel society all together. He accepts the first option.

Despite the ordinary dislike of humans, Admetus does not mind the task, and prefers spending time with the humans rather than his fellow angels. With his taint, he feels as though he is on equal ground, and the humans are more accepting of him. He's an animated tour guide, and is happy to show them around. His openness makes many of the humans accept him in kind.
