Alastair, or so he is known these days, used to be a brilliant wizard when he was human. He would spend his days researching and experimenting on new conjuration spells in his school, he would have been one of the most successful wizards the school ever produced...however his bright future was to be clouded by darkness. On a regular excursion to a nearby dig site, Alastair discovered something that would change his life forever. He would find a book...from the state of the room around it, it should have been thousands of years old, however it was still in pristine condition. It's secrets were blocked by an ornate lock keeping the book closed. Alastair took this book in as a new research subject and worked day and night to unlock the magical seal of the tome. It was no easy task, whenever Alastair would try to fiddle with the lock his tools would be turned to melted metal in seconds by the wards that protected the lock. He would slowly become obsessed with the book, almost hearing the lock mocking him day and night, mocking him with all the knowledge hidden inside.
It would take him the better part of his youth to finally conjure a tool that can withstand the wards of the lock and the better part of his remaining life to figure out how to conjure a key that can actually unlock it. By the time he finally achieved his goal he would be an old man already, his life wasted away on his obsession to open this one lock. When he finally opened the lock however, endless knowledge would pour into his mind, raw and harsh he could not make sense of all he saw at all. It would all seem like a cruel joke to him, he wasted his life away opening this lock and his reward was knowledge so pure he couldn't even understand it. No...no...his life will not be a cruel joke! Alastair would pour his remaining life into deciphering the book, now dubbed the book of cosmos.
With every passage made sense he would slowly start to see something new...entities, beings far beyond angels or demons, he had to know more...but his life was failing him...he needed more time...he needed more time! His anguish however would not go unnoticed, seeing the impossible situation he found himself in a demon would approach Alastair, promising him endless life. All he needed to do is work under him...enticed by the demon's offer and the desperation he found himself in, Alastair didn't think at all. He took the demon's offer without hesitation. His body was twisted and transformed into a form resembling a ram, a gem embedded into his chest...the king of lies had a new servant...
