Dolly grew up in a small dwarven town to a large family with little to no money, and a dream of becoming a renowned singer.

Her life changed when she met a travelling mercenary, whom she fell in love with and was convinced she'd elope and run off with. When he left her by herself and Dolly's town got hit with an intense wave of sickness, Dolly had to roll up her sleeves and help her mother tend to the sick. Dolly found she was extremely skilled with healing, and no matter what she did or how desperately she tried to leave, she kept finding herself stuck as the small-town healer. Her singing dreams drifted further and further as time went on.

Old and grizzled, Dolly has been running a motel outpost in a small town that many travelers spend the night in. While listening in on some particularly shady guests, Dolly finds herself caught, and now owing a favor to an organization far larger than she initially imagined.
