About

How charming Vakdok is, you don't think you've ever met someone as charming. He has a wonderful laugh and he always seems to like the joke's you tell. He's a strange sort of man - for as much as he seems to talk about himself, you never really feel like you're being sidelined. He can be sweet and attentive and if you meet him multiple times in a row, he always remembers you. He's a delight to have around - not the party maker, but when you get to the party and see him, you're instinct is probably going to be running over so he can squeeze your arm and look so delighted that you're there. You always have a friend in Vakdok, he'll shelter you from everything and you always feel wanted when he's around. Let him assure you that everything is fine.

But there's also something a bit off about Vakdok. If you think on it too long, you wonder why he's so nice. No one is ever that nice, are they? And you've seen him with other people, you've seen his face drop into a scowl worse than anyone has ever seen and he's dismissed others with something so close to disgust it's startling. It seems almost personal when Vakdok dislikes someone, even when you're pretty sure they've never met before. More than that, you may have seen him get angry. Vakdok never seems like the type that should be angry. He's all laughter and smiles and that's not someone who gets angry, but if you're unlucky enough, you can see him strike faster than a snake. It's a cold anger that Vakdok has because some would say that burns for longer. Vakdok doesn't really care and you better hope it's never directed at you.

• Though pansexual, he leans towards men because they're easier to manipulate. Women are usually more on guard.
• He's from the Shadow Court in the fae Realm - neither Seelie or Unseelie; some would say that the Shadow Court aren't even normal fae at all.
• Though not the king, he was actually very high nobility in the Shadow Court.
• He has no official last name; he was given the name Vakdok Facerobber because of his crimes. In the human realm, he normally goes by Vance Byrnes to blend in with humans more.
• Due to the loss of easy fairy ring transportation and being surrounded by a city, Vakdok is often very sickly from dwindling connections to magic and nature. The magic he steals is sometimes used for his own health.
