Personality

On the outside, Cress is a quiet and reserved unicorn. They can look cold and detatched to onlookers, but they're really just lost in their mind. They're a daydreamer and get their best ideas when their head is metaphorically up in the clouds. They're shy and awkward when you first meet them, often replying with monosyllabic words. They're just trying not to make a bad first impression. They're an introvert who enjoys their alone time, but they'll always make time for their few close friends. Their personality is almost completely different when they're with friends. They become loud and excited, which they mentally slap themselves for once they're alone again. They like cracking jokes and rambling about their interests. They become sarcastic and passive aggressive when annoyed. They have a short fuse and they bottle up their anger until it explodes. Strong emotions are usually accompanied by tears, making Cress a bit of a crybaby. They have a bit of an inferiority complex.

Backstory

Cress dreamt of being able to fly like a pegasus since they were little, and every time they saw a shooting star they'd wish for a pair of wings. Their wish was never granted until they were able to make themself levitate with magic. That day they got their Cutie Mark and found out that their magical abilities made them worthy of enrolling into Celestia's school for gifted unicorns. Shortly after enrolling, Cress began studying and searching for a spell that would give them wings. They found one a few years into their stidues, but they weren't satisfied with frail butterfly wings, so they modified that spell to allow them to summon pegasus-like wings made of magic and light at will. After graduating, they continued to study magic on heir own. They work part time as a librarian at the school's library. They had to endure mild to severe bullying during their school years, which affects them even in present times, especially since their bullies went unpunished.
