Suraya is bubbly and outgoing but insecure at the core. She is always trying to do the right thing and help people as much as possible both because she genuinely cares and because she is trying to make a good impression, as she fears she will be seen as not good enough. She is a total night owl and often stays up until sunrise, sleeping during the day. If she loves someone she does so with her whole heart, and there is always room for more.

Coming from a family of six siblings Suraya has always been around people. Though having so many children meant that she didn't get as much individual attention from her parents, she still felt loved by them and had a normal childhood. She was always closest with her brother Shihab who was just a year younger than her. He always encouraged her to pursue her dreams of being a professional writer and proofread all her childish drafts. Unfortunately, he died in a freak accident when they were 15 and 16. She was heartbroken but resolved to pursue her dream even more vigorously to honor her greatest supporter. Her first novel, an epic fantasy full of spaceships and featuring a brother and sister captain duo was published just before she turned 21 and was a wild success. She's currently working on a sequel as well as a human medieval fantasy that she hopes will be another best seller. Recently a friend introduced her to a ballerina named Blysse and she is absolutely smitten, though she has no idea how the reclusive girl feels about her, or if she even remembers her at all. Maybe they have a future together?

- for the nebula patterns create a gradient of her hair colors over the base colors then add white splotches at different opacities and then some tiny white star dots; no textures needed!
- hair is usually wild and untamed; rarely she will put it in a ponytail but it usually explodes back out
