Childhood
Noah didn't have the worst childhood, but it wasn't one you'd want either. His parents were there, but distracted by their other two kids. Noah has a twin brother Trevor, and an adopted brother named Leon, who was an entirely different species. Noah's parents never meant to upset Noah, or made him feel less wanted, but with Trevor being such a grade-A's student and Leon being a heavily traumatized kid, he was never given as much praise or attention.
Noah's frustration led him to hanging out around some older kids around about sixteen years old, while Noah himself would have been ten at the time. The kids taught him how to steal, fight and were overall terrible influences. Noah was forced to do some things he didn't want to do, like beat up a kid around his age. Of course, no one knew he was forced to do that and he got in trouble for it. Noah took the anger of the missunderstanding, the hurt, and leads his life with it even if he never means to.
Later Years
Noah always got into fights when the opportunity arose, only further reinforcing his poor reputation. Noah struggled making friends, though did make one who also had a not-so-great reputation: Alvis. Alvis was mute, having a rare mutation in their species that fused his scales on his lips together. Technically, he could make noise, but no words could be formed. Noah didn't have anyone else to talk to that would listen, so he did to Alvis. Not knowing when it happened, they became very close friends.
If Noah had gotten in a violent enough fight and needed help (like bandaging himself up, bandaids, nothing serious or life threatoning), he would go to Alvis. Noah had no idea how Alvis learned to patch people up, but he did, and Noah knew not to ask. Noah and Alvis became inseperable, Alvis always being there to help Noah and vise versa.
Present Day
Noah still has a poor reputation- still fights, skips class, does poorly in school, and doesn't get along with his brothers (or most people, for that matter). Noah doesn't know how to fix his relationships and he isn't interested. Honestly, nothing much changed except for one thing: He started dating Alvis.
Alvis and Noah have an amazing, loving relationship neither of them thought they'd ever have.
