Background: Amber was born to a young married couple. Her mother (who was the one who gave her the Dragon Blood gene) soon realized she wasn't happy with Amber's father and divorced him. It was Amber's father who raised her. She grew up moving from town to town, never really feeling at home anywhere. Until her father decided to send her to a boarding school in a town called Riverwell, because he thought she should have a place to stay while he traveled around for work.
It was around the time her Dragon Blood traits started to show up. When she began connecting the dots, it scared her at first. The last thing she needed to so go back to school with no friends, and suddenly turn into a giant reptile. But as it progressed, and she realized she could control it rather than it happening randomly. She was almost 15 when she first transformed into a dragon. She didn't tell her father however, because she didn't know how he'd react.
Not long after Amber first transformed, she met Kaitlyn. They sensed that each other were Dragon Bloods and Kaitlyn got overly excited right in the hallway and Amber had to pull her outside to save herself from embarrassment. Kaitlyn explained to her that she too was a Dragon Blood. After that Amber and Kaitlyn became friends, and they both started to meet more and more Dragon Bloods at the school. She soon had a friend group that consisted of her, Kaitlyn, Reef, Cordelia, Emma and Daniel.
Kaitlyn has known Amber the longest. It was Kaitlyn that really helped Amber see herself being a Dragon Blood as a good thing. Amber loves to hangout with Kaitlyn, she loves her peppy personality and likes to think of almost as a little sister.
Amber met Reef through his sister, Cordelia. Reef and Cordelia would often come over to Amber's dorm to hang out and watch tv. Pretty soon though, Cordelia stopped going along after realizing her brother had feelings for Amber. Amber, however, was pretty obvious to this. When Reef finally expressed his emotions, Amber revealed she shared them and they began dating.
Cordelia met Amber one afternoon while walking home from school. They started chatting and eventually became friends. Amber and Cordelia can often be found hanging out by the lake in the Riverwell park, chilling in the sun, or Cordelia will be swimming.
