APPEARANCE

Iceeye is a tall and lean she-cat with white fur and long legs. She doesn't appear to be extraordinarily muscular and her narrow shoulders give her an elegant appearance but one shouldn't underestimate her fighting skills since she's trained alongside her clanmates and is easily one of the more talented fighters in her generation. Her fur is short but dense enough to protect her from the harsh winds on the hill moor that makes up most of her clan's territory and keep her warm in leaf-bare. It's well-groomed most of the time and has a pure white color with a sole spot of black on her neck. The warrior's long legs end in round paws equipped with sharp claws. The pads have a pale pink color with speckles of light gray on them.

Her face is round in shape with a short muzzle and a pale pink nose as well as white whiskers. In addition to this Iceeye has a pair of big triangular ears with pointed tips. Her eyes are wide and round with a slightly almond-shaped form. They have an icy blue color which stands out against her white fur and might give her elegant appearance a cold touch.

Personality

Iceeye is a very complicated she-cat who might be best described as a walking contradiction. Her emotions seem to exist on a scale with sadness, cold indifference, and anger seeming to be the main points. The white she-cat struggles to open up or put trust in other cats and therefore masks most of her feelings with indifference or anger. Since she fears being vulnerable with others she often acts dismissively towards others pushing even those away who are genuinely trying to help. She's way too afraid that others might betray her and she'll end up alone in the end which often leads to toxic behavior on her part and ends up becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy. Even within her own clan, this behavior reduces her friends to a small number of cats who are patient and stable enough to deal with her struggles and her often difficult and even toxic behavior. This often leads to Iceeye feeling lonely but simultaneously pushing others away who might want to befriend her. Even though she often seems rather cold and harsh on the outside if she isn't around those she loves the white warrior is rather sensitive and becomes triggered easily especially when someone questions her abilities as a mother or her kits are involved. If she doesn't become angry right away it might still hit her hard. Since she isn't able to show those negative emotions outside she will just withdraw from the situation unable to express her feelings honestly. While on good days she might just ignore unwanted questions and annoying cats on bad days being around her can feel like walking on eggshells because she's very irritable and might just blow up in your face. At times she might also show provocative behavior searching confrontation with others. Even her friends experience those difficult behaviors at times and only her kits hardly ever have Iceeye's escapades directed at them. Under all of this Iceeye is restless and sometimes has phases where she'll withdraw and seems deprived of all those extreme emotions she usually shows. During those times she might not talk to anyone more than necessary for days and only her friends and kits can hope to exchange a few words with her. But truth to be told she desperately needs their support to get through those times.

Iceeye can be a rather stubborn cat which might be annoying but can also be seen as a good trait at times. She's willing to risk a lot for getting what she wants which might also be because she doesn't value herself as much as it seems at times and therefore actually cares little for what she still has to lose. Still, she thinks that her opinion is important and at the very least wants others to listen to her. She hates being ignored (even though she sometimes ignores others when she doesn't want to talk) or not being taken seriously but sadly often acts in a way that makes it hard for others to appreciate her input. Even though she doesn't plan to force anyone to obey her she often shows dominant and authoritarian behavior. She hardly cares about what others think and say about her as long as they aren't part of her family or her friends. Of course, she could do better if she cared about feedback and refrained from lashing out at others but at first, she has to learn how to deal with herself and others again outside of the remarks of cats who mainly critique her aggressive side. She knows that they don't understand her or why she is reacting the way she reacts and even though she doesn't like this she doesn't see a way to explain herself without making herself vulnerable. But at least she won't lie to your face and then whisper about you behind your back. When it comes to Iceeye what you see is what you get most of the time. The white warrior is also very attentive. She usually listens closely and can take in a lot of information with ease. Iceeye is observant and usually not bad at processing the information as long as she isn't too emotional which is when she starts to jump to conclusions. She's intelligent and reflects on what's happening even though she yet has to find a way not to sabotage herself and her relationships. The she-cat easily understands the emotions of others which mainly becomes apparent when she's with her family. Even if she doesn't seem this way as long as she isn't with her loved ones she's interested in what others feel, even when her fear keeps her from engaging.

When interacting with her loved ones Iceeye appears like a completely different cat. While friends might still struggle with her toxic behavior at times - even though she tries a lot harder to protect them from herself - she wouldn't ever deliberately harm her kits. Even though she might seem selfish on the outside she loves her kits more than her own life and becomes very protective whenever they are threatened. If necessary the white she-cat would even fight StarClan to shield her kits from harm. She can't let anything happen to them and in many ways, her overprotective behavior might be hard to deal with.

Iceeye is a rather strong she-cat who somehow managed to get through even though life hasn't always played her the nicest cards. This in itself shows that she has perseverance and the strength to push through. She reflects more than one might think, even though her experiences left her scarred and she has yet to find a reason to change herself for the better again. For now, she's caught inside her self-critique without the strength to make a change in her life. The situation leads her down a dark path at times and is the reason behind her despair. She wants others to help her but can't get over her fear and lower her guards. But the white warrior loves truth and maybe this search for a light in her life might help her find a way back to the light she lost.

History

Icekits life started rather normally. The white she-cat wasn't born in WindClan during a hash leaf-bare or had to fight for her life soon after she was born. She didn't have any mean siblings or neglectful parents. Her mother did her best to raise her alongside her sister Russetkit. The two kittens had been born to their father's second mate and therefore had an older halfbrother who went by the name Hawkpaw - later Hawkchaser. They were a rather normal clan family.

Her life took an unexpected turn in her late apprentice days when she first noticed Clawpaw at a gathering. She didn't dare to approach or talk to the handsome ShadowClan apprentice right away but before she realized what was happening her paws started to carry her to the thunderpath more often. It was only a matter of time until she met Clawpaw and they started to talk. She soon fell in love with the apprentice who seemed to share her feelings and they started to meet more often. Again and again, Icepaw snuck out of camp just to see him and even lied to her sister when it was necessary to hide that she was secretly meeting with a ShadowClan tom. When she was with him talking, cuddling, or showing their affection for each other in different ways she felt happy and fulfilled. The white apprentice would have never doubted that their relationship was the right choice for them. When she was made a warrior and she was given the name Iceeye by WindClan leader Darkstar she kept seeing the tom in secret. Some moons passed but when the white she-cat realized that she was pregnant with her mate's kits she felt happy. From now on she would always have a piece of Clawstorm with her. The only thing that was still missing for her to be completely happy was him living in the same clan as her. They belonged together after all and it seemed as if StarClan had planned this path for them. But when she happily told Clawheart that she was expecting it was soon revealed that he had other plans. He wasn't willing to leave his clan for WindClan but didn't want her to suddenly show up in ShadowClan either. He didn't even want to see that those kits were a great joy and a gift of StarClan to both of them. To him, those kits were an obstacle that made their lives and their forbidden romance more difficult and after fighting with Iceeye about it he decided to end his relationship with the she-cat who would have given up everything she had just to be by his side. Day after day Iceeye waited before Sunrise at the border to ShadowClan until she had to accept that Clawheart wouldn't come to meet with her anymore. Disappointed and hurt she to camp and moved to the nursery soon after. She withdrew from others and even giving birth to three kittens couldn't restore her happiness. The thought of always having a piece of Clawstorm with her didn't evoke joy in her anymore since he had become a painful memory. The young she-cat was occupied with her hurt and only cared for her kits half-heartedly. This didn't remain without consequences and Lightkit the weakest of the three kittens didn't survive his mother's neglectful behavior. Her son's death pulled Iceeye out of her indifference as she felt sorry for her actions and started to care for her remaining kittens. Still, she couldn't save the relationship she had with her daughters Rustkit and Frostkit. They didn't even want to stay in their mother's clan and left during their apprentice days preferring to live with their father on the other side of thunderpath even though the tom had neglected them first. But even the distance couldn't reduce the hate both of them had developed towards their mother and up to today Iceeye suffers due to the hatred and especially Frostglow sometimes directs towards her mother.

Some cats might have seen this as a rightful punishment for her actions and even Iceeye blamed herself for the failed relationship with her daughters. She withdrew more and more from other cats and spend a lot of time alone outside of camp. This went on for a while and as she was hunting between the hills at the foot of highstones she unexpectedly bumped in a stray tom. They started to fight and she nearly clawed one of his eyes out trying to chase him off WindClans territory but when he said that he'd leave they started to talk. She soon found out that his name was Tian and as he came near WindClan border from time to time and they started to exchange a few words. She developed a crush on him but their different lifestyles lead to them only meeting once in a while since he preferred to travel around instead of living in a clan or fixed territory. Since she still hadn't forgotten how things ended with Clawheart Iceeye didn't mind. She didn't want to spend too much time with him anyway and felt better with a more open style of relationship. Still, when the white warrior realized that she was pregnant again she was unsure if she should tell the stray tom about it. He might not be happy about her having his kits after all and she had already been wrong about a tom's interest in his kittens before. But when Tian learned that she was pregnant with his kits he was happy. At first, there didn't seem to be any complications but when Iceeye gave birth to two daughters she couldn't agree with Tian on how to raise them. While Tian preferred his freedom and traveling around the white she-cat saw the clan as a better place to raise her kittens. They started to quarrel about those questions and decided to break up after a while. As her daughters were old enough to travel without their mom, Iceeye took one of them and gave her to Tian, who named her "Taina". The stray tom took his daughter with him leaving the area next to WindClan border behind. The clan was told that a fox had attacked and killed the kitten when it snuck out of camp and Iceeye decided to forget her stray daughter and completely focussed all her energy on raising and protecting her remaining kitten - Jadekit. Iceeye withdrew from her clanmates even more and even started to quarrel with her brother Hawkchaser which permanently damaged their relationship. Only with a few selected friends, the white she-cat stayed more or less open and friendly while building up walls around herself and becoming more and more distrustful towards toms.

Moons passed by and Jadekit had already been apprenticed and training for a while when Iceeye fell in love again. This time it was Nightfoot a calm and thoughtful WindClan warrior who had caught her attention. Since the tom wasn't one to rush things and the white warrior had a hard time opening up to him and even though seeing each other a lot they took it slow this time. Even though she sometimes struggled to relax around him, they somehow managed to build and maintain their relationship. Shortly after Jadepaw was made a warrior being given her new name Jadefire Iceeye realized that she was pregnant again. Since Nightfoot was perfectly fine with her having his kits and they both lived in the same clan this could have been their happy ending but being filled with memories and failures of her past relationships Iceeye panicked. Scared that her mate would break up with her after the kits were born she decided that it would be better for her kittens to never know who their father was, assuming it would hurt them less if they didn't have to experience being abandoned by the tom at a young age. So she broke up with him first leaving behind a confused Nightfoot who at first tried to win her back and visit her in the nursery with her newborn kits but soon gave up as he was constantly met with rejection and aggression of the white she-cat who was defending her kittens against the perceived threat. Iceeye raised her kits alone without a tom by her side reasoning if the kittens didn't know who their father was he wouldn't ever be able to hurt or disappoint them.

Her fears ended up becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy since Nightfoot had to work through a lot of feelings he spent a lot of time outside of camp by himself. One day he met the young she-cat at ShadowClan border where Clawheart and Iceeye had met many moons ago. At first, they were simply talking since Shiverstream felt a bit out of place in her clan but after a while, they fell in love, and at some point, the ShadowClan warrior arrived at WindClan pregnant with Nightfoots kits. Iceeye was furious and felt confirmed in her fears and suspicions. Love - no matter how good and right it felt - couldn't be trusted. There was no such thing as true love and everyone who thought differently was wrong. The fact that Shiverstream had come to WindClan to live with her mate while Clawheart hadn't only refused to let her live in ShadowClan with him but also broken up with her because she had asked to made her especially bitter towards Shiverstream who hadn't yet realized the elusive nature of love. Still, the white she-cat wasn't asked if she wanted to share a den with the former ShadowClan cat since she soon moved into WindClan nursery to have her kits Colorkit and Silverkit. Iceeye hated her and her kits not even showing compassion when Colorkit died from sickness during leaf-bare. She hated being reminded of the fact that Nightfoot had disappointed her even though she had been the one pushing him away first as well as the fact that her ex-mate had the little family she could have had with Clawheart.

The kittenhood of Thistlekit, Magpiekit, and Bagerkit didn't pass without troubles but Iceeye was always there to protect her kittens and shield them from harm. She had promised herself never to lose one of her kittens again and now not even StarClan could have stopped her. But to Iceeyes dismay Darkstar decided to choose the former Outcast Dogtail who had just recently returned to WindClan with her kits as Thistlepaws mentor as the kits were apprenticed. Even though the white she-cat confronted her leader about that Darkstar wasn't willing to change the young apprentice's mentor which left Iceeye angry and made her observe every one of Dogtail's moves warily. Since the leader of WindClan wasn't willing to help her protecting her kittens she had to do it on her own and she wasn't willing to allow the former Outcast to hurt her daughter.

Relationships

Eaglestripe (Mate and former mentor)

A long time has passed since Eaglestripe has been her former mentor, and after having three litters of kittens and different mates their relationship has changed significantly. For Iceeye the older she-cat hasn't only become a friend and supporter but her new mate. She loves her deeply and wants to take care of her. Being with her gives her stability and makes her feel at peace. She makes Iceeye open up and the warrior wants to spend the rest of her live with her.

Jadefire (Daughter)

Jadefire is the oldest daughter who stayed with her mother and Iceeye indeed has a lot of love for her. She helps and supports her whenever she can and gives advice whenever it's needed. They talk a lot and some might accuse Iceeye of being too involved in her daughter's life. And it's true that Jadefire still relies a lot on her mother's support. None of them is actively trying to change that though and Iceeye is happy to keep her daughter close.
