Personality/Backstory

• Even as a young child, Mahlon suffered from self-esteem issues and problems with confidence. This was never much of an issue, though, as he always had Ephai around to help him, and to build him up.
• The two children created a pact to experience and share one another's pain. When one would ache, the other would as well. The pain would be more pronounced the closer, physically, that the two boys were.
• This pact had its downfalls though, and the shared pain caused a rift between the two boys, leading to them drifting apart as adults. 
• Mahlon, late one night, was reminiscing on the events of his childhood and let himself spiral into feelings of guilt and depression, and drifted as he drove that night. The rain could only do so much against the roaring flames of the collided cars
  • Mahlon escaped with a mangled arm that required amputation, while the other driver was seriously injured and did not survive
  • For this, Mahlon blamed himself, and tried to seclude himself from the world
• Ephai, feeling the intense pain of the amputation, even from a distance, rushed to Mahlon - but not to comfort. He was angry, inconvenienced by the pain and hounded Mahlon for being so reckless. This only send Mahlon further into a downward spiral
• After a breakdown, Mahlon admitted the past to Ephai, and the two began to talk and actually discuss what had happened to the both of them since childhood.
  • They still fight, but they are working on themselves and one another.
