shirley is the anti-thesis to prince, being his older sister who writes  for him. she absolutely despises everything that her family stands for  and wants to achieve success her own way. she’s crass and closed off,  really only letting two other people know her more under the surface.  being only known as “the girl godwin” is “an actual goddamn nightmare”  to her.
